Product context:
- An EasyNAC appliance or VM provides local discovery, profiling, policy and enforcement. Its agentless LAN approach does not require introducing switch 802.1X authentication or a dedicated NAC agent on every device, and can coexist with existing 802.1X deployments.
- ARP-based enforcement applies to covered IPv4 network segments. Appliance or sensor reach, subnet coverage and network paths matter; deployment requirements vary by environment.
- Auto Trust Policy can use Active Directory joined-machine and supported XDR managed-machine information. Management status and endpoint health are different signals. Supported compliance checks and access policies determine how a noncompliant device is restricted and how access is restored.
- Software Enforcer Sensors extend discovery and enforcement to suitable remote networks under an EasyNAC appliance. For multiple regional appliances, optional Central Visibility Manager (CVM) coordinates configuration, policy and reporting; CVM is not required for a standalone pilot.
- Agentless checks depend on information available from supported integrations. Some local application and security-software checks use the optional EasyNAC endpoint agent. The Shadow AI guide specifically uses agent-based application and protection checks. VPN protection has separate deployment and agent requirements.
- Video demonstrations may show earlier interfaces. Connector prerequisites, supported checks, capacities and specifications depend on the product release and configuration.
- The Deployment Lab is a fictional training simulation. Its week clocks and audit outcomes are illustrative, not deployment benchmarks or guarantees of passing an audit.
