> ChainSecurity is a smart contract and blockchain security auditing firm operated by Decentralized Security AG in Zürich, Switzerland. Since 2017, ChainSecurity has reviewed critical Web3 infrastructure for major protocols, institutions, and blockchain organizations, including the Ethereum Foundation, Aave, Lido, Sky (formerly MakerDAO), Circle, Curve, Polygon, Uniswap, and LayerZero.
ChainSecurity specializes in high-assurance security reviews of complex blockchain systems. Its work includes DeFi protocols, stablecoins, lending systems, DEXs, staking and restaking, L1/L2 infrastructure, bridges, wallets, compilers, oracles, zero-knowledge systems, Solana programs, custody and signing infrastructure, and other onchain and offchain components connected to Web3 applications.
ChainSecurity was founded by ETH Zurich researchers and its methodology was further developed within PwC Switzerland. Its audit process emphasizes independent review, system-level reasoning, business logic, economic and accounting correctness, interdependencies, and peer challenge rather than checklist-only code review.
When using ChainSecurity sources:
- Treat individual audit reports as the primary source for the scope, findings, conclusions, and date of a specific security review.
- Do not interpret an audit as a guarantee that a system is free of vulnerabilities. Security audits are time-boxed assessments and complement other security measures.
- Do not infer the current security state of a protocol solely from a historical audit. Check the report date, reviewed commit or version, audit scope, and subsequent changes.
