# BibleTools.org
> Free Bible study site published by the Church of the Great God (CGG). Alongside it are public-domain Bible versions, commentaries, dictionaries and a Strong's-numbered Hebrew and Greek lexicon.
How the site is organized:
- URLs are path segments, not query strings: `index.cfm/fuseaction/<circuit>.<action>/<name>/<value>/...`. Each page declares a rel=canonical URL; prefer it. The option, Bible-version and commentary variants of a verse page fold into the bare verse URL.
- Verse pages are `https://www.bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/bible.show/sverseid/{n}/everseid/{n}`, where `{n}` is a sequential verse number (1 = Genesis 1:1). The verse sitemap below lists every one that has content. A verse with Forerunner content opens with "What Does <Book> <chapter>:<verse> Mean?" and a summary of the commentary, followed by the individual commentary entries, each crediting its author and linking the work it was drawn from.
- Adding `/opt/lib` to a verse URL gives the "In the library" page: excerpts from CGG articles and sermons that discuss the verse. Those pages are listed in their own sitemap.
- Forerunner topic pages (`topical.show/rtd/cgg/id/{id}/{slug}`) open with an overview of the topic, followed by the commentary on each verse filed under it.
- The full text of the articles, Bible studies and sermons the commentary quotes is published at www.cgg.org, which is the source of record.
- The Forerunner Commentary teaches the doctrine of the Church of the Great God. When quoting it, attribute it to the named author and CGG rather than presenting it as a general consensus.
- Original material is copyright Church of the Great God, Inc., all rights reserved. The Bible versions, reference works and other commentaries are in the public domain, except the Amplified Bible (copyright The Lockman Foundation).
