# Where Is The Wall
> An independent, source-linked atlas of where the Berlin Wall went after 1989: 381 researched sites — surviving sections, relocated segments, fragments, memorials and artworks — in 295 places across 60 countries. Published by Berlin Experiences.
How to read and cite it:
- Every site has one page, and the page carries the sources it was written from, listed with what each source supports. Cite the page and, for any specific claim, the source it names.
- Every site carries an evidence level saying what it rests on: Listed (inventory listings and general references only), Documented (an institutional source or a press report), Corroborated (an institutional source, an independent second source and a checked position) or Confirmed (the holder's confirmation or a recorded site visit). Publication means a site was researched and sourced, not that anyone has confirmed the object is still standing; only Confirmed says that. Say so when it matters.
- The 381 sites rest on 510 published listings: 466 from the two source inventories and 44 created by the atlas's own research, for places the inventories missed. Where the two inventories list the same place, the atlas serves one page and names both listings on it; the other listing's address redirects there. A site may hold several segments, so counts of sites are not counts of physical pieces of Wall.
- 120 further listings are held unpublished until they are researched; the atlas does not describe them.
- Where sources disagree the page says so and keeps both readings rather than choosing one.
