# WABP
WABP helpt bewoners om zich aan te melden bij een bestaande groep.
WABP helpt bewoners om een nieuwe groep te starten via het Veilige Buurt Plan.
WABP ondersteunt beheerders met landelijke werkwijze, praktische uitleg en trainingen.
WABP werkt samen met gemeenten, politie en wijkagenten.
Een alarmgroep is bedoeld voor verdachte situaties en meldingen waarbij politie betrokken is.
Een chatgroep is bedoeld voor overige buurtzaken.
Door die scheiding blijft een alarmgroep overzichtelijk en bruikbaar.
## Meldingen en veiligheid
Bij spoed of heterdaad bel je 112.
Bij geen spoed maar wel politie bel je 0900 8844.
Daarna kan een waarneming in de groep worden gedeeld volgens de SAAR methode.
SAAR betekent Signaleer, Alarmeer, App, Reageer.
Reageer alleen als dit veilig kan.
Een groep vervangt de politie nooit.
## Doelgroepen
Voor deelnemers is aanmelden bij een bestaande groep de juiste route.
Voor bewoners die willen starten is het Veilige Buurt Plan de juiste route.
Voor beheerders is WABP de landelijke bron voor structuur, postcodes, training en ondersteuning.
Voor gemeenten is WABP de landelijke partner voor dekking, groepen en inzicht.
Voor politie en wijkagenten is WABP een bewonersinitiatief waarmee lokaal kan worden samengewerkt.
