VinnerVi Subtitles is a web app plus browser extension. Users can paste any video URL on the website to download translated subtitle files, or install the Chrome / Edge / Firefox extension — or the Safari extension from the App Store on Mac, iPhone, and iPad — to see translated subtitles overlaid directly on video players while they watch.
VinnerVi is also available as a standalone Android app on Google Play, with a built-in browser and native translation controls. Open or share a video link, translate captions or supported speech into 40 languages, adjust subtitle size/position and rewatch saved subtitles in native History. Android accounts, credits, plans and History are separate from web and Safari, even with the same email or Google identity. Subtitles play inside VinnerVi, not over other apps; Android has no native batch submission or subtitle-file export. Playback and translation vary by site/video; streaming services need player subtitles enabled.
## Core capabilities
- **Full audio translation mode** — Automatic speech recognition transcribes the video audio, then AI translates it into the target language. Cost: **3 credits per minute** of source video.
- **Existing-subtitle translation mode** — Skips the transcription step when the source video already has captions or a subtitle track. Cost: **1 credit per minute** — three times cheaper than full audio mode.
- **Streaming Mode (subscription services)** — Translates the subtitles a streaming service already provides, live on the player, as you watch. Works today on **Crunchyroll**, **Viki**, and **Amazon Prime Video**; **Netflix**, **Disney+**, and **HBO Max** are rolling out. Billed at the existing-subtitle rate: **1 credit per minute**. - **Browser extension overlay** — Renders translated subtitles directly on the video player, synchronised to playback. Works on YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, Twitch, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Douyin, MissAV, Pornhub, BoyfriendTV, Yandex Video, OK.ru (Odnoklassniki), and Kinogo mirror sites.
