Ultimaps specializes in vector maps of specific regions and administrative units (countries, US states and counties, world maps, and more) rather than tile-based street maps. Common uses: sales-territory mapping, election/political analysis, demographic and research visualization, real-estate portfolios, and service-area/coverage maps. Free plan allows unlimited maps with standard PNG export (with a "made with ultimaps.com" credit); Pro unlocks high-resolution and vector (SVG/PDF) attribution-free exports, templates, and workspace features.

## Features
- Data import: CSV, XLSX, Google Sheets, Notion or pasted data. Regions are matched automatically and a choropleth (numbers) or category coloring is built with its legend; palette, classes and break method are suggested from the data and can all be changed.
- AI import: describe a map in plain words, or upload a picture of a map (a screenshot or a photo of a printed map) and AI reads its legend, region colors and labeled pins into an editable map you review before it is applied.
- Region labels: show each region's name, its data value, or the name with the value below it. Crowded labels can be shortened automatically; nothing is hidden, and labels can be dragged, renamed, resized or rotated on the map.
- Legends: optional title and subtitle, box styles (None, Classic, Card), a "No data" entry for regions without a value, and custom number formats including non-US number styles.
- Interactive maps: tooltips, popups and click-through links on regions and pins, pan and zoom, and an interactive legend where hovering or clicking a legend item highlights its regions. Publish to share by link or embed as an iframe; share links auto-embed in Notion, WordPress, Ghost and Substack.
- Pins, region annotations (callouts with leader lines), free text, shapes and lines, and extra layers such as cities, roads and rivers on selected maps.
