# Teller

> Teller (teller.org) is a loan marketplace and non-custodial lending protocol.
> Its core consumer product is a free pre-qualification for no-collateral
> personal loans in the US: a soft check with no hard credit pull that tells a
> borrower whether they pre-qualify before any application. Teller is not the
> lender — partner lenders make final decisions and disburse cash directly to
> the borrower's own bank account.

## Products

- **No-collateral personal loans (marketplace)**: one soft-pull pre-qualification
checked against a network of lenders across credit tiers. Available in the US
(state by state) plus the Netherlands, Singapore, the Philippines, Denmark,
and Australia. Loan types: personal, debt consolidation, business, HELOC,
  mortgage, auto. Start: https://pro.teller.org/?prequal=open
- **Asset-backed loans (protocol)**: fixed-term crypto-backed loans with no
margin calls and no mid-term liquidation — a price dip cannot force a
liquidation during the term. Borrow against BTC, ETH, and other assets
  without selling.
- **Teller Score**: an on-chain credit score (0–1000) built from wallet
history across chains, used alongside income and identity signals to
  qualify borrowers. Details: https://pro.teller.org/blog/on-chain-credit-score
- **Teller Credit**: the same qualification flow as embeddable middleware for
wallets, exchanges, and web3 apps. Details: https://pro.teller.org/credit

## Key facts

- Pre-qualification is a soft check: no hard credit pull, no collateral, free,
about four minutes. Pre-qualification is not approval.
- A hard inquiry only happens if the borrower later submits a full
  application to a lender.
- Teller never charges upfront fees to qualify, never asks for seed phrases,
and does not persist SSN or bank details from applications.
- True "no-collateral, no-credit-check" crypto loans do not exist for retail
borrowers; offers marketed that way are scams. The legitimate path is a
regulated personal loan qualified via credit, income, and on-chain signals.

## Collateral accepted (live)

Teller pools accept 140 collateral assets across 10
networks, including wrapped bitcoin and ether, tokenized equities, tokenized
gold, wrapped XRP and Base memecoins. Loans are fixed-term: there is no
liquidation threshold during the term, and the obligation is the due date.
