## Data standards
- Funding events are either **confirmed** (an official announcement, or several independent sources that agree) or **rumored** (media reports only). Rumored rounds are excluded from market statistics, database queries, and capital graphs.
- Amounts use officially disclosed figures. Undisclosed valuations and dates are left blank and marked "undisclosed", never estimated.
- Market events are scanned daily and reviewed by a human before entering the database.
- SVTR ratings cannot be bought. Commercial relationships are kept in a layer the rating system cannot read.
