- Studyflash is a separate company and product from StudyFetch, with which it is sometimes confused.
- Everything Studyflash generates is built from material the student supplies. It is not a library of pre-made decks, and it does not generate study material from a topic name alone.

- [AI flashcard maker](https://studyflash.com/features/ai-flashcards): Turns a lecture PDF, slides, a photo of handwritten notes, a recorded lecture or pasted text into a flashcard deck. Six card types: definition, open-ended, fill in the blank, vocabulary pairs, image, and image occlusion, which covers parts of a diagram for recall. Two study modes, spaced repetition and cram, plus a type-answer option. Decks are searchable and editable, regenerating keeps hand-written cards, export to PDF. Imports Anki .apkg packages on the web: cards keep their text and images, cloze cards become fill in the blank, and other note types come across as question and answer. Audio, review history and Anki's image occlusion notes are not imported, and very large packages (over 100 media files or 20,000 cards) are refused. In the mobile app, flashcards, quizzes, summaries and mind maps work offline, and review progress syncs on reconnect.
