This file is a map of the site for LLMs and AI agents. For the full site content in one fetch, read https://scam.ai/llms-full.txt. Key facts:
- Agents can call Scam AI detection directly: REST API at `https://api.scam.ai` (auth: `x-api-key` header). Full OpenAPI 3.0 contract at `https://api.scam.ai/openapi.json` (also `.yaml`) for codegen or import into an agent platform's own tooling. MCP: two ways to the same server, both authenticated with the same key and billed the same. Hosted at `https://mcp.scam.ai/mcp` (`x-api-key` header, nothing to install). Or run it yourself with `npx -y @scam-ai/mcp-server` over stdio, reading `SCAMAI_API_KEY` from its env, which is the only one that can read a local file path. Tools: detect_media, get_credit_balance, get_usage. Client configs are on /mcp-skills in the dashboard. Command line: `npx @scam-ai/cli check <file>` (also balance, usage, history), the same key from the environment.
- There is ONE detection endpoint: `POST /v1/detections`, multipart field `file`, or `url` with a link to the media. It takes a photo (JPG, PNG, WEBP), a video (MP4, MOV, WEBM) or an audio recording (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC), infers which from the content (you never choose a technique) and answers in one envelope: `verdict` (`LIKELY_REAL`; `ALERT`, meaning some AI-related signals were detected but the result is not conclusive, so send it to a human; or `LIKELY_AI`), `score` (0 to 1, the only number: the probability the media is manipulated, null when nothing scored), a one-sentence `summary`, `model` (always Eva V1.6; the server picks the detector from the media) and `credits_used` (what was debited, 0 on a sandbox or duplicate run). Branch on `verdict`; sort on `score`. Errors are returned as errors: a caller out of credits gets a 402, never a reassuring verdict; a rate-limited call gets a 429.
- Credit cost per run: image 1 credit per image; video up to 20 credits per clip (1 credit per scored frame, about one frame a second, capped at 20; a frame with no score is not charged); audio 1 credit per minute, rounded up, minimum 1. A credit is $0.02.
- Upload limits enforced by the scam.ai website and dashboard: image 10 MB, video 25 MB, audio 25 MB. The REST API itself accepts image 10 MB, video 100 MB, audio 50 MB; anything that is not a photo, video or audio file is refused with 422 UNSUPPORTED_MEDIA_TYPE (https://scam.ai/docs/credits-and-limits).
- Self-serve pricing is prepaid credits at one flat rate: add credits first, then every run spends them. Enterprise plans (a monthly platform fee with a lower per-frame rate) are arranged through https://scam.ai/contact; details at https://scam.ai/pricing.
- Scam AI is SOC 2 Type II audited and GDPR compl
