Reinke Manufacturing Co., Inc. was founded in 1954 by Richard F. Reinke on his family's farm near Byron, Nebraska. Richard taught himself engineering, architecture, and drafting to solve problems facing growers. The company pioneered many irrigation firsts, including the first reversible electric gear-driven rubber-tire circular irrigation system (the ELECTROGATOR®), the first aluminum pivot (ALUMIGATOR®), Navigator GPS guidance, Variable Rate Irrigation, and the revolutionary Electrogator® 3 (E3™) — the world's first precision-series center pivot.
