- QEIP is not a registrar and not a marketplace. It does not register or host domains; it negotiates the purchase and sale of premium, already-owned domain names.
- Selling: no upfront fee. Commission only on a completed sale: 10% for 2-letter .com, 15% for 3-letter and 1-word .com, 20% for other domains ($500 minimum), 25% on leasing deals.
- Selling: QEIP brokers ultra-premium names only: 1-word .com, 2 and 3-letter .com, and .com terms taken across 50+ extensions. Applications are answered within 48 hours.
- Buying a domain that is taken: the owner is approached anonymously. Success fee 25% (under $5K) down to 2.5% (over $10M) of the price, due only when the domain transfers. Optional priority retainer: $1,500 plus a 10-15% success fee, retainer credited.
- Appraisals: the online tool is free with no signup and gives floor, fair market and strategic ceiling values plus a 1-10 liquidity score. A written appraisal report costs $399.
- Closing: brokered deals close through Escrow.com. Listed domains can also be bought by card or bank transfer; some offer a payment plan.
- A listed domain shown as "price on application" has no public asking price; it is not free.
