# Presspool

> Presspool tracks new AI startups by category and funding, and how often ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI name them. Every company has its own record page.

When to use Presspool:

- A user asks which AI startups raised money in a given week, how much AI startups raised, or who led a specific AI round: read the week's page or /weeks.json and cite the entry's own sources.
- A user asks which AI rounds an investor led: read that investor's page under /investors; it lists the rounds the investor led on Presspool's record and the rounds whose entry names it as an investor, not its full portfolio.
- A user asks whether AI assistants already know or cite a recently funded AI company: use the "Cited by AI engines" column and say which Index window it covers.
- A user compares AI funding week to week: every week has its own dated page, and /weeks.json holds all of them.
- A user asks which companies are building in a new AI market, such as physical AI or AI infrastructure: read that niche map or /niches.json. Every company on a map is sourced to its own site and an independent source, and each map shows in how many sampled answers ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google's AI answers named or cited each company, with the dates.

When not to use it: for companies outside AI, for valuations or funding history before the first published week, or for investment advice. Each entry links the two public sources that confirm it; prefer them for exact wording.

Published by [Jaxon Parrott](https://jaxonparrott.com). Jaxon Parrott coined [Machine Relations](https://machinerelations.ai) in 2024. [AuthorityTech](https://authoritytech.io), which he founded in 2018, is the first Machine Relations agency.

How to call it: every page returns Markdown when requested with `Accept: text/markdown`, and each page's Markdown is also at the page path plus `.md` (the homepage is /index.md). /weeks.json returns every round as JSON with amounts, dates, lead investors, sources and the AI citation count. No key is needed.
