# Paintingstack

Paintingstack is a software studio founded by Gregorio Undurraga. Every app is built to one standard, "enjoy the craft": opinionated, quiet, and made to last. Where the work can happen on the device, it does: no account, no connection required, and never a subscription. No app has ads, and none tracks you across other apps or websites. Alongside the apps, the studio publishes a researched, genuinely useful blog about the craft behind them, written to teach rather than to sell.
## Principles
- On-device by default. Where the work can happen on the device, it does, with no account and no connection required.
- One-time unlock where an app has a paid tier, never a subscription, for every app that runs entirely on your own hardware.
- No ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- Opinionated and focused. Each app does one thing with real care instead of everything adequately.
