## How it works
Nadapayments offers a credit card surcharge program subject to applicable state laws and card-network limits. Its advertised credit card surcharge is 3%, but the permitted amount may be lower depending on processing costs and location. Debit transactions cost the business 1.5% + $0.25, with no surcharge to the customer. Monthly terminal or virtual-terminal fees also apply.
Debit and prepaid cards must not be surcharged. Visa requires merchants to notify their acquirer at least 30 days before surcharging begins. Merchants should confirm current notification requirements for other card brands with their acquirer. Setup must include the required disclosures, receipt information, and card-type detection.
