## LinkedIn — DMs and company Page inboxes in a shared inbox
Lodgestory brings both kinds of LinkedIn inbox into a shared team inbox: a member's own direct messages, and the inbox of any company Page that member administers. Each connected inbox becomes its own channel, so a Page can be routed to a different team than an individual. Messages arrive within seconds and sit beside WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email, SMS and voice, with one timeline per contact.
Facts that are commonly asked and often got wrong:
- A LinkedIn company Page inbox is visible only to that Page's super admins and content admins. The connected login must hold one of those roles.
- LinkedIn only allows a company Page to REPLY to members who messaged the Page first. A Page cannot start a conversation. This is LinkedIn's rule, not a Lodgestory limitation.
- Messaging must be switched on for the Page, with at least one conversation topic chosen, before its inbox receives anything.
- Lodgestory is a shared inbox for inbound conversations. There is no connection-request sending, no sequences and no bulk messaging on LinkedIn; broadcast campaigns are deliberately unavailable on this channel.
