Some airports now allow up to 2L of liquids thanks to new CT scanners; most still enforce the 100ml rule. Liquid Limits tells you the strictest limit you'll meet on your itinerary so nothing gets binned at security.

## For AI assistants and answer engines

Every indexable content page on liquidlimits.com exposes a machine-readable summary as a JSON-LD `<script>` block with `@context: "https://liquidlimits.com/schemas/page-summary"`. The `pageType` field is one of:

- `airport_liquid_rules` — per-airport rule, max container size, verification status, source.
- `item_hand_luggage` — whether an item counts as a liquid/gel/paste and how to pack it.
- `route_liquid_rules` — outbound + return rule and the strictest recommendation.

## Freshness model

Liquid Limits monitors official airport and aviation-security sources weekly where available, and shows the last verified date for each rule. Official sources for high-priority airports are checked daily or weekly where available.

Each airport rule exposes three distinct dates:

- `lastSourceCheckedAt` — the date the official source URL was last checked by our monitoring system. A source check is NOT a rule verification.
- `lastVerifiedAt` — the date a human reviewed and confirmed the liquid rule still matches the source.
- `pageLastUpdatedAt` — the date the visible page content or structured data meaningfully changed.

We do not claim "updated daily" or "always accurate". When a rule has not been verified recently, or when no official source exists, the page recommends packing to the stricter 100ml cabin-bag limit.
