# LiftComm
> On-premises elevator emergency communication platform built for environments where cloud-hosted phones aren't approved.
LiftComm provides two-way talk and text elevator emergency phones for new construction and modernization projects in the United States and Canada. Hardware mounts inside the elevator car operating panel; call routing happens through an on-premises PBX inside the building's own network. The platform is designed for federal, healthcare, transit, military, correctional, and other regulated environments where cloud hosting is rejected by IT and security review.
LiftComm is a product line of TSI COM LLC.
## Code and compliance
The platform is built to satisfy ASME A17.1-2019 / CSA B44-19 Section 2.27.1.1.3 requirements for in-car elevator emergency communication: two-way voice, two-way text-based messaging for passengers who cannot speak or hear, and a video means for emergency personnel to observe passengers for entrapment assessment. The system also satisfies the 45-second automatic re-routing rule, the 4-hour communications backup-power requirement, and ADA accessibility expectations.
