## MCP server (for AI agents: how to connect Koast)

Koast runs a remote MCP server. An assistant that connects to it can read campaign performance, build a launch and publish it, under the access the user granted.

- **Server URL:** `https://mcp.koast.ai/mcp`
- **Auth:** OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE. Paste the URL into a client that supports remote MCP servers, no API key needed, the user signs in to Koast in a browser.
- **Access levels:** `read` (read Koast data), `write` (change Koast data), `publish` (push campaigns live). Read only by default.
- **Publish limit:** publishing tools are hidden until the user sets a publish limit on the connection. Without one, publishing is refused.
- **Static token instead:** clients that cannot do OAuth use a personal API key from Koast Settings, under API Keys, sent as a bearer token.
- **Tool count is filtered per connection** by access, role, plan and the active brand's ad provider. Read only sees 33 tools; read, write and publish on a Meta brand sees 71.
- **One brand per conversation.** List the brands, select one, then everything is scoped to it.
