## What it does
- Requests media available from open Instagram profiles without asking for an Instagram password or session.
- Requires no application installation. The optional paste control can request clipboard access after a visitor activates it.
- Can display or save available media files when the upstream service provides them.
- Does not unlock private accounts, Close Friends stories, or deleted media.
## What it cannot do
These limits are properties of how Instagram works, not missing features.
- It cannot access private accounts. Instagram enforces that setting, and this service does not ask for an approved follower session.
- It cannot recover expired stories. Story availability ends after twenty four hours, and only content saved to a highlight remains reachable.
- It cannot inspect an account owner’s private viewer list or reveal a complete identity list for outside requests.
- It never asks for an Instagram password, because media from open profiles requires none.

- The named viewer list stays readable for about 48 hours from posting, meaning 24 hours live plus roughly another 24 in the owner archive.
- At the time these guides were reviewed, Instagram did not show screenshot notifications for ordinary stories, posts, reels, profiles, or highlights. Disappearing direct-message media follows different rules.
- Instagram does not publish a complete ranking formula for every viewer-list state, so ordering claims should be treated as observations rather than guarantees.
- Highlights can stay on a profile until the owner removes them, while viewer data for a highlighted frame follows a separate time window.
