# Gumshoe AI
> Gumshoe is an AI search visibility platform. It measures how AI models describe a brand when buyers ask for recommendations, and gives marketing teams the diagnostics and content tooling to change those answers.
Gumshoe runs structured buyer-persona conversations against 12 AI model families from eight providers, through official provider APIs rather than by automating chat interfaces, and reports where a brand appears, which competitors appear instead, which sources the models cited, and how they characterize the brand. It is a forward-looking diagnostic: it measures how models answer now, not a log of what people searched in the past. Model providers do not publish query volume, so no tool can report real prompt volume.
Founded in 2025 by Todd Sawicki and Patrick O'Donnell at Pioneer Square Labs in Seattle.
