# GrabMail

> Free disposable email addresses with a REST API and an MCP server. No account,
> no API key, no payment. Give out any address on a public domain, then read what
> arrives over HTTP.

grabmail exists for one job: receiving an email you do not want in your real
inbox — a confirmation code, a sign-up link, a test message — and reading it
programmatically.

**Nothing has to be created.** An address exists the moment mail reaches it.
Invent a local part, use it, then poll the API. There is no registration step
and no key to obtain for the public domains.

- Public domains, free, with unlimited addresses: `grabmail.io`, `mixozia.com`, `linqmail.com`
- Messages are deleted **5 days** after they arrive. That is enforced by a
  job, not a policy page.
- Attachments up to **5 MB** per message.
- Free API, no key: **60 requests a minute and 1,000 a day per IP address**
(every mailbox call and every MCP tool call counts; the day resets at 00:00
UTC), plus one read per second per address. Over it you get `429` with
`Retry-After`: `rate_limited` for the minute, `daily_limit_reached` for the day.
- **Free account, optional:** a free API key (one per free account) whose allowance — the same
numbers — follows the account instead of the IP address, and an inbox history: every mailbox
opened while signed in, read with the key, or used over MCP is listed at https://grabmail.io/account, ready to
reopen. History can be switched off. Keys: https://grabmail.io/account/keys.
- **Paid plans have no per-minute and no daily cap** — only the per-address rate
of the plan (2, 3 or 5 requests a second). Premium is $12.99/month:
  https://grabmail.io/pricing
- **Bring your own domain — the thing most disposable-mail services do not offer.**
Point its MX at `smtp.grabmail.io` and EVERY address on that domain becomes a catch-all
inbox: `anything@yourdomain.com` works without being created first. There is
NOTHING else to do — no account, no registration page, no key. The first
message that arrives connects the domain: we look its MX up at that moment,
and publishing that record IS the proof of ownership. Mail on it is read
exactly like the public domains, by anyone who knows the address.

**Anyone who can guess a public address can read it.** These inboxes are not
private and are not meant to be. Never send anything confidential to one.
## What this service does not do

Stated plainly so it does not have to be guessed. Every line is a deliberate absence, not a gap waiting to be filled.

- **Sending mail:** No. There is no endpoint that sends, and no outbound mail of any kind. A free service with no authentication that could send mail would be a spam relay within a day, and the abuse desk would become the whole company. It is also what makes the inbound server impossible to use as a relay.
- **IMAP or POP3:** No. HTTPS only — a REST API and an MCP server. There is no mail client protocol to connect, and no password to give one. Reading is a GE
