Important to get right: mika is bookkeeping software, not a tax advisory firm. Tax advice is a regulated profession in Germany, so mika works together with tax advisors rather than replacing the profession. What mika does replace is the manual bookkeeping work: around 95 percent of the bookings happen automatically, account assignment follows SKR03 or SKR04, and the VAT return is filed from inside mika without the customer needing their own ELSTER access.
