## Core features
- **AI recipe generation**: Type or dictate a description, attach a photo, or chat with the AI sous-chef. One recipe per ask; you can ask for another.
- **Save from anywhere**: Public Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube videos, web URLs, screenshots, photos of cookbook pages — AI extracts ingredients, steps, and metadata.
- **Cookbooks & collections**: Named collections you organize yourself.
- **Weekly meal planner**: Tap-to-add calendar — pick a day, add a recipe from your cookbooks. One slot per day.
- **Smart grocery list**: One tap on a recipe (Add to cart) or one tap on a planned calendar day. Quantities merge inside a recipe; the list is grouped by category.
- **Cooking mode**: Step-by-step with big text, smart ingredient highlights in orange, tap-anywhere to advance, screen always on, quick access to the AI chef and the ingredient list.
- **Multilingual save**: Save a recipe in any source language; FOODIE saves it in one of 7 supported languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian) — set in app settings.
- **Servings rescaling**: 1-tap, with metric/imperial conversion.
