- [Reinventing a Problem](https://eps-dev.de/blog/reinventing-a-problem) (2026-10-16): Sometimes you create a problem so abstract that you don't recognise that it is long solved.
- [Setting up a VPN-only access for your Minecraft server using Pangolin](https://eps-dev.de/blog/setting-up-a-vpn-only-access-for-your-minecraft-server-using-pangolin) (2026-01-31): I always talk about the different ways to protect Minecraft servers from all kinds of danger. - [Admins, protect the privacy of your players!](https://eps-dev.de/blog/admins-protect-the-privacy-of-your-players) (2025-11-30): By default, Minecraft servers publish a sample of their currently online players through their Status Response which is shown by the client when hovering over the player count field in the multiplayer menu.
- [The most average Minecraft name is "Saaeee"](https://eps-dev.de/blog/the-most-average-minecraft-name-is-saaeee) (2025-11-11): Hey everyone, today I am back with a short blog post about Minecraft names.
- [The Azure outage from the perspective of a Server Scanner](https://eps-dev.de/blog/the-azure-outage-from-the-perspective-of-a-server-scanner) (2025-10-30): As you have most likely noticed, yesterday Microsoft Azure had a large outage. This is the second event of this scale in just a few weeks, as just a week ago AWS had the same thing happen to them.
- [Tales from optimization hell](https://eps-dev.de/blog/tales-from-optimization-hell) (2025-10-28): With the ever growing dataset of my KittyScan project came unforeseen performance issues. How I ultimately fixed them, and how I made the process unnecessarily hard for myself is what I want to discuss in this short blog post.
