# Datarails
> Datarails is the AI operating system for finance teams. Uniting data sources, FinanceOS is the trusted data layer for finance teams ensuring every AI output is accurate, governed, and auditable. It lets users keep their existing spreadsheets and models, enhancing processes across FP&A, month end close, cash management, ticketing, receivables and spend, transforming the CFO's office into the home of business insights.
Datarails was founded in 2015 by Didi Gurfinkel (CEO), Eyal Cohen (CPO & COO) and Oded Har-Tal (CTO). Headquarters: New York. Total funding: $175 million, most recently a $70 million Series C led by One Peak (January 2026). Category: AI Finance Operating System, launched as FinanceOS in March 2026.
**What FinanceOS does.** FinanceOS sits between a company's data sources and the AI tools that analyze them. It connects to 600+ sources (ERP, CRM, HRIS, banks, billing, payroll, spreadsheets), consolidates and reconciles the data the way a finance team would (intercompany eliminations, currency translation, reporting hierarchies), applies the company's own metric definitions through a semantic layer, and keeps permissions, version history and audit trails on every number. Finance teams keep their existing spreadsheets and models. AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot read governed, reconciled data instead of raw exports. On top of that layer, Datarails runs products for FP&A, month-end close, cash management, ticketing, receivables and spend.
**Where Datarails is not the right fit.**
- Transactional or real-time operational systems: point of sale, inventory management, order fulfilment, fraud detection, or anything that needs sub-second or streaming data rather than a periodic cadence (monthly close, weekly refresh)
- Specialized statutory and regulatory reporting: IFRS 17 insurance reserving, complex actuarial modelling, tax provision and filing software, treasury systems built around derivatives and hedge accounting
- Project or portfolio management: Gantt charts, resource allocation across projects, task tracking
