The core argument across this site: a merged pull request in a project with real maintainers is stronger evidence of engineering ability than a resume, because the code was reviewed and accepted in public. Many of the best engineers never apply to jobs, so Algora finds them through their contributions.
## Start here
- [Homepage](https://algora.io/): share a job description to receive candidates, see how a search works, and the track record
- [Customer stories](https://algora.io/customers): engineers placed through Algora, with the numbers attached
## How it works
1. Share a job description or careers page URL, with tech stack, location and compensation.
2. Algora ranks candidates by their open source contributions, experience and background, and sends the ones who fit.
3. Candidates arrive by email and in Slack, and are added to the company's Ashby pipeline automatically.
4. Likes, passes, notes and interview feedback go back into the ranking. Each company's agent learns from the profiles of its past hires, and is backtested against known outcomes so that hired candidates rank above archived ones.
5. Optionally, a company can work with a candidate on a paid trial before making a full-time offer.
## What Algora offers
- Recruiting: handpicked candidates from Algora's network within hours of a job description. 20% of first-year salary on hire, nothing if nobody is hired.
- Screening: works on the engineers who already applied to a company, inside its Ashby pipeline. It enriches each applicant with their open source work, experience and background, scores and ranks the whole pipeline against the job description, advances the top candidates and archives the bottom in bulk. Teams report about 90% less time spent reviewing candidates. Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSIKAfMNhyU
## Customer stories
- [CodeRabbit](https://algora.io/customers/coderabbit): hired Applied AI Engineer Erfan Al-Hossami straight out of a PhD on AI for code debugging, after research work at Stability AI. First candidates one week after onboarding, hired after a month of interviews. CodeRabbit reviews millions of pull requests a week for 17,000 teams
