# Aigen
> Aigen builds fully autonomous, solar-powered farm robots that deliver daily, chemical-free weed control. Its mission is to accelerate the transition to regenerative agriculture by replacing herbicides with precise, AI-driven robotics.
Aigen ("AI Generated Agriculture") was founded in 2020. Its flagship product, the Element robot, uses AI vision to identify and mechanically strike weeds — including herbicide-resistant weeds — with no chemicals. Element robots run 100% on solar power with onboard battery storage, are built to withstand rain, mud, slopes, and rough terrain across multiple growing seasons, and coordinate as a crew over an intelligent mesh network with no farmer intervention required.
Aigen operates as a managed service: (1) a grower talks to a local Aigen agent, (2) Aigen delivers, runs, and maintains the robot fleet throughout the growing season, and (3) the grower tracks their fields via app and harvests chemical-free crops.
