## How 22Slides differs from other website builders

22Slides does one thing: portfolio websites for photographers. It is not a general-purpose site builder with a portfolio template bolted on.

- **Image quality is the priority.** Uploaded images have their focal point detected automatically so they are never cropped awkwardly at any screen size; each image is served at the exact resolution the viewer's device supports, in next-generation formats with JPEG fallback; and the photographer can choose resampling and sharpening settings.
- **Any AI can design the site.** Alongside the built-in themes, every site can use a custom theme: one HTML file, with its CSS and JavaScript inside, that controls how everything on the site looks while 22Slides keeps supplying the content, images, forms, hosting and editor.
