# x.doctor > x.doctor is an iPhone and Android app where licensed medical professionals give second opinions and recommendations. You choose a doctor by specialty, pay once for a day (24 hours) or a week (7 days) at the price that doctor sets, then send them photos and PDF documents of your results and talk it over in the chat or on an audio or video call. It is for people in Moldova and for people from Moldova living abroad. x.doctor is not for emergencies. In an emergency call 112 (Moldova and the EU) or the local emergency number elsewhere. A second opinion or recommendation in the app does not replace an in-person examination. ## How it works - Sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. There is no password. - Browse doctors by specialty. Each profile shows the doctor's photo, specialty and up to five subspecialties, an About text in the doctor's own words, and their prices for 24 hours and for 7 days. Doctors who have switched offline are not listed for new patients. - Pay by card on a secure Stripe checkout page. The pass opens that doctor for 24 hours or 7 days. It is a one-off payment and does not renew by itself. A second pass with the same doctor starts when the current one ends, so the time adds up. - While the pass is active you can write messages, record voice messages, send photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and PDF documents (for example blood test results, an MRI or CT report, or a discharge summary), and talk by audio or video call. The doctor can call you too. The app does not take the image files from an MRI or CT disc: send the written report, or photos of its pages. - Push notifications for new messages and incoming calls. Light and dark theme. - Reply times depend on the doctor; there is no promised reply time. If it is urgent, call 112 instead of waiting. ## Prices - The app is free to download. Signing in and looking through the profiles is free. - Each doctor sets their own prices, in euros, for 24 hours and for 7 days. You see the price on the profile before you pay. - One-off card payment. No subscription. ## Specialties Doctors on x.doctor are listed by specialty. The app's specialty filter includes: allergologist-immunologist, anesthesiologist-intensivist, cardiologist, dentist, dermatologist, endocrinologist, ENT doctor, family doctor, gastroenterologist, geriatrician, hematologist, infectious disease doctor, internist, laboratory doctor, neonatologist, nephrologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, nutritionist-dietitian, obstetrician-gynecologist, oncologist, ophthalmologist, orthopedist-traumatologist, pediatrician, pharmacist, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, pulmonologist, radiologist, rehabilitation specialist, rheumatologist, speech therapist, surgeon, urologist. Install it from the App Store or Google Play as usual and send results from a local lab as a PDF or photo; doctors' prices are in euros. ## For doctors Doctors use a separate x.doctor app for doctors. There they set their prices for 24 hours and 7 days, write the About text patients read, decide when they take new patients (online or offline), and see their passes and earnings.
