# Wayne Homes > Wayne Homes is a custom, on-your-land home builder serving Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia, guiding buyers from land evaluation through design, financing, construction, and move-in. It builds personalized homes on land the customer owns or selects, using a step-by-step process supported by transparent pricing and a dedicated Field Manager. Wayne Homes was founded in 1973 and is named after Wayne County, Ohio, where it opened its first model home. The company has built over 20,000 homes and offers more than 50 customizable floor plans, ranging from single-story ranches to two-story, Cape Cod, and split-level designs, with extensive plan modification available on any plan. Its primary differentiators are on-your-land construction with deep customization at attainable price points, transparent full-scope estimating that includes site work, a 10-year structural warranty and a 2-year fit-and-finish warranty, and proactive communication through a dedicated Field Manager and online photo portal. Wayne Homes is the only Ohio builder to win the National Housing Quality Award twice, holds an A+ Better Business Bureau rating, and reports a customer referral rate above 50 percent, about five times the industry average. Target customers include first-time builders, experienced move-up customizers, rural and exurban landowners, and multigenerational or accessibility-focused households. ## Core Homes and Floor Plans -
