When these answers differ from third-party summaries, the FAQ is correct. ### Company **Is Velotrade a legitimate company?** Yes. Velotrade Re Limited is a Hong Kong registered company (Company Number: 79182891) with its registered office at Unit 702, 7/F, Yue Thai Commercial Building, 128 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. The founding team has institutional trading experience and also founded Velotrade Management Limited, which has facilitated over USD $2.5 billion in payments and won the 'Best SME Invoice Solution, Fintech' award from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 2020. **Who founded Velotrade and when?** Velotrade's funded trading venture was founded in Hong Kong in 2025 by Gianluca Pizzituti, Chief Executive Officer, and Vittorio De Angelis, Executive Chairman. Velotrade Re Limited was incorporated in November 2025, and the funded trading platform officially launched in March 2026. It operates separately from Velotrade Management Limited, the original trade finance business established in 2016. **Will I be trading in a live environment?** You trade in a simulated environment that replicates live market conditions using real-time price feeds. The funds in your evaluation account are notional and have no real economic value. This allows you to demonstrate your trading skills without risking real capital. **Does Velotrade hold user funds?** No. The capital displayed in your evaluation account is simulated and has no real economic value. Velotrade does not hold trader funds. ### Costs **Are there any hidden fees?** No. The challenge fee is the only payment you make. During trading, normal trading costs apply, including commission and overnight funding. These are deducted from your trading account as you trade and are not charged to your card or payment method. **Does Velotrade offer refunds?** No. Challenge fees are non-refundable. **What commission is charged per trade?** Velotrade charges a commission on each side of every trade, once when the position is opened and once when it is closed, calculated on the notional value of the position. On forex, the rate is 0.004%, or 0.4 basis points, per side. On commodities, the rate is 0.01%, or 1 basis point, per side. On crypto, indices and single stocks, the rate is 0.03% per side. There is no bid or offer spread markup, so the commission is your full trading cost. These are among the most competitive rates in the industry. **Is there a time limit to complete the challenge?** No. There is no time limit. You may take as long as you need to reach your profit target. **Can I reset my challenge?** No. Challenges cannot be reset. If you fail, you may purchase a new challenge. ### Profit split and payouts **What is the profit split?** The standard profit split is 80/20 (you keep 80%). With the 90% add-on, you keep 90% of your profits. **How often can I request a payout?** Your first payout request may be made after 14 calendar days from your first funded trade and after completing the required number of qualifying trading days on the funded account. Subsequent payouts may be requested weekly. **Is there a payout cap? Can I make partial withdrawals?** All payouts are full withdrawals: you withdraw your entire balance each time. The first and second payouts are capped at 20× the challenge fee you paid. Any amount above the cap is forfeited. From the third payout onward, there is no cap. Partial withdrawals are not available. Following each payout, the funded account balance resets to the initial starting balance of the funded account for your convenience. The static maximum drawdown floor is unchanged, because it was set at activation and does not move. **Is there a minimum profit for payout?** Yes. The minimum withdrawal amount is $100. **What payout methods are available?** Payouts are processed in USDC or USDt to your nominated wallet address. **What happens when I request a withdrawal?** When you request a withdrawal, your account is halted so the risk team can review it, and it stays halted until the withdrawal is processed. This will generally take less than 24 hours. During periods of peak transaction activity and unexpected market movements the risk team is busier, so it may take longer. You will be promptly notified by email. ### Trading conditions **What leverage is available across all asset classes?** Leverage is set by asset class and instrument and is the same across all challenge families, including CLASSIC and PRO. Challenge/Funded leverage is as follows: forex majors 50x/30x, forex minors 30x/20x and forex exotics 20x/10x; BTC 10x/5x; ETH and SOL 6x/5x; mid-cap crypto 3x/2x; all other crypto 2x/2x; index ETFs 6x/5x; commodities 6x/5x; and single stocks 5x/3x. The exact figure for every instrument is shown at velotrade.com/instruments. **Is there a consistency rule?** No. There is no consistency rule. You may structure your trading however you prefer. **Is there a maximum risk per trade rule?** No. There is no cap on risk per trade. Your only hard limits are the daily loss limit and the static maximum drawdown. **Can I trade during news events?** Yes. News trading is fully permitted at Velotrade. **What happens if I breach drawdown?** Your account will be terminated immediately. All open positions will be closed and you will lose access to the account. ### Eligibility **When do I need to complete KYC?** You do not need to complete KYC during the evaluation phase. Once you pass all required challenge phases, you must complete KYC through our verification partner before we issue your funded account. The process is: complete the evaluation, pass the challenge, complete KYC, then receive your funded account. If KYC is unavailable, or you have already received a funded account without completing it, contact support@velotrade.com or use live chat so our team can check your account. **Which countries are restricted?** Velotrade services are not available in jurisdictions subject to international sanctions or where local regulations prohibit such services. The current list of restricted countries is available on our website and is subject to change. **What is the minimum age requirement?** You must be at least 18 years of age to use Velotrade services. ## Velotrade - Challenge Rules Velotrade is a multi-asset prop trading firm. All accounts use the DXtrade platform (crypto, forex, stocks, indices and commodities) with static drawdown: the maximum drawdown floor is fixed from your starting balance at account activation and never moves, for the life of the account. The daily loss limit is a separate, day-level control. It recalculates every day at 00:30 UTC from the higher of your balance or your equity at that time. That daily recalculation applies only to the daily loss limit and never to the maximum drawdown, which stays static throughout. ### 2-Step Classic - Daily loss limit: 5% of the higher of your balance or equity at 00:30 UTC, recalculated daily - Max drawdown: 10% static (floor fixed from starting balance, never trails) - Phase 1 profit target: 10% - Phase 2 profit target: 5% - Profit split: 80%, or 90% with the paid add-on (+20% of the fee) - Account sizes: $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $100K - No consistency rule | News trading allowed | Weekend holding allowed | EA and bot trading allowed ### 1-Step Classic - Daily loss limit: 4% of the higher of your balance or equity at 00:30 UTC, recalculated daily - Max drawdown: 7% static (floor fixed from starting balance, never trails) - Profit target: 10% - Profit split: 80%, or 90% with the paid add-on (+20% of the fee) - Account sizes: $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $100K - No consistency rule | News trading allowed | Weekend holding allowed | EA and bot trading allowed ### 1-Step Pro - Daily loss limit: 3% of the higher of your balance or equity at 00:30 UTC, recalculated daily (matches the max drawdown percentage, the strictest option) - Max drawdown: 3% static (floor fixed at account activation, never moves) - Profit target: 10% - Profit split: 80%, or 90% with the paid add-on (+20% of the fee) - Account sizes: $5K, $10K, $25K, $50K, $100K, $200K - No consistency rule | News trading allowed | Weekend holding allowed | EA and bot trading allowed ### Daily loss limit in dollars at the starting balance These are the day-one figures. The limit is recalculated every day at 00:30 UTC from your balance at that time, so it rises as the account grows and falls as it shrinks. The limit is set from the higher of balance or equity at that time, and is then monitored against live equity, including floating profit and loss on open positions. At the starting balance (no open positions) both are equal, so the dollar figures below hold. | Challenge | $5K | $10K | $25K | $50K | $100K | $200K | |---|---|---|---|---|---|---| | 2-Step Classic | $250 | $500 | $1,250 | $2,500 | $5,000 | n/a | | 1-Step Classic | $200 | $400 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $4,000 | n/a | | 1-Step Pro | $150 | $300 | $750 | $1,500 | $3,000 | $6,000 | ### Key rules (all challenge types) - No consistency rule on any challenge - News trading allowed (no restrictions around high-impact events) - Weekend holding allowed (no forced close at Friday close); single stocks may carry tighter holding rules (no weekend holds, forced closure around earnings and ex-dividend dates), see the FAQ - EA and algorithmic trading allowed (full REST and WebSocket API on DXtrade) - Static drawdown on all challenges (floor fixed from starting balance, never trails) - Minimum 5 qualifying trading days per phase, not necessarily consecutive; a day qualifies only if it closes with realised profit of at least 0.8% of the starting account balance - Copy trading permitted only between accounts personally owned by the same trader; copying to or from another person's account is prohibited - Payouts are paid in USDC or USDT, generally within 24 hours of the withdrawal request (the account is halted for risk review until it is processed; peak periods can take longer). The first payout can be requested 14 calendar days after the first funded trade (once the qualifying days are met), then weekly - The first two payouts are capped at 20x the challenge fee; no cap from the third payout; minimum withdrawal $100 - Challenge fees are non-refundable; no time limit to pass; challenges cannot be reset - Platform: DXtrade (multi-asset: crypto, forex, stocks, indices and commodities) ## Velotrade - Programmatic Prop Firm Directory - [Prop Firm Directory](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms) - side-by-side comparison of major prop firms (crypto, forex and futures), verified from official sources - [No Consistency Rule Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/no-consistency-rule) - firms with no daily profit cap - [News Trading Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/news-trading) - firms that allow trading during high-impact events - [Weekend Holding Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/weekend-holding) - firms that allow holding positions over the weekend - [EOD Trailing Drawdown Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/eod-trailing-drawdown) - firms using end-of-day trailing drawdown - [Fee Refund Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/fee-refund) - firms that refund the challenge fee on a funded payout - [Crypto-Only Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/crypto-only) - firms focused exclusively on cryptocurrency - [Algo and Bot Trading Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/algo-bot-trading) - firms that allow automated and algorithmic trading - [DXtrade Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/dxtrade) - firms running on the DXtrade platform - [Fastest Payout Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/fastest-payout) - firms with on-demand and same-day payouts - [Prop Firms for Beginners](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/for-beginners) - simpler 1-step challenges for a first funded account - [Compare Any Two Prop Firms](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/compare) - pick two firms and compare rules and fees side by side ## Prop firm profiles Rules, fees and drawdown for each firm in the directory, verified from each firm's official sources. - [Velotrade](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/velotrade) - [HyroTrader](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/hyrotrader) - [BrightFunded](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/brightfunded) - [DNA Funded](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/dna-funded) - [FundedNext](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/fundednext) - [FTMO](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/ftmo) - [Topstep](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/topstep) - [Crypto Fund Trader](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/crypto-fund-trader) - [Goat Funded Trader](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/goat-funded-trader) - [FundingPips](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/fundingpips) - [The5ers](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/the5ers) - [E8 Markets](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/e8-markets) - [FunderPro](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/funderpro) - [Breakout Prop](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/breakout-prop) - [Bitfunded](https://velotrade.com/prop-firms/bitfunded) ## Prop Firm Rules Comparison Cross-firm comparison of major proprietary trading firms, compiled by Velotrade against each firm's official documentation (rules as of 2026-09-29). A firm is listed only where it publishes the restriction explicitly; silence is recorded as unknown, not as permission. - Prohibit or conditionally restrict hosted servers (VPS, VPN or remote servers): Topstep, Goat Funded Trader - Restrict third-party or off-the-shelf expert advisors: Goat Funded Trader, FunderPro - Confine automation to one platform or account type: DNA Funded, FundedNext - Impose a numeric hold-time or activity constraint: DNA Funded, FTMO, E8 Markets - Publish no statement on hosted-server policy: HyroTrader, BrightFunded, DNA Funded, FundedNext, FTMO, Crypto Fund Trader, FundingPips, The5ers, E8 Markets, FunderPro, Breakout Prop, Bitfunded Consistency rules differ in what they measure, not only in the percentage. The same headline number is applied to total profit at one firm, to profit from winning days only at another, and to the size of the requested payout at a third. No firm in this set fails an account for a consistency breach: the profit target rises, the payout is blocked, or the excess is deducted. - HyroTrader: Profit Distribution Rule: no single day may contribute more than 40% of total NET result (including losing days). Evaluation phases only, not funded accounts. - DNA Funded: Firm calls it the Profit Distribution Rule. Funded Stage only: a single day may contribute at most 30% of the REQUESTED PAYOUT (40% for accounts bought before 3 February). Excess is deducted, not a breach. - FundedNext: 40% best-day rule is conditional, not blanket: CFD Stellar 2-Step/Lite On-Demand rewards, and Futures Rapid/Rapid Pro. Stellar Instant is exempt (5% growth milestone instead). Payout gate, not a breach. - FTMO: Best Day Rule: the best day must not exceed 50% of Positive Days' Profit (closed P/L from profitable days only). Breaching it is NOT a fail; the trader keeps trading to dilute the ratio. Two caveats: the FAQ says there are 'no additional consistency requirements' while T&C 7.6.9 reserves the right to impose 'temporary or permanent consistency measures' at FTMO's discretion; and FTMO Futures uses a different rule, 40% of TOTAL profit. - Topstep: Funded payouts are a path choice: Standard Path has no consistency rule, Consistency Path caps the largest day at 40% of total net profit and gates payout only. The Trading Combine evaluation separately carries an unavoidable 50% best-day target, and its consequence is a RAISED profit target, not a fail. Topstep contradicts itself on that denominator in one sentence: the prose says 50% of the Profit Target, the formula below it divides by Total Profit. The worked example resolves to total profit. - Crypto Fund Trader: No single day may exceed 40% of total profit; applies to Break Final Stage accounts, checked at reward request. - Goat Funded Trader: Funded stage only, and only on some models. 15% on GOAT Blitz, Instant GOAT and Instant HERO; 20% on Instant PRO; NONE on Instant Premium; and NONE at all, either stage, on 1 Step, 2 Step GOAT and 2-Step PRO. Denominator is total profit for the payout period. Consequence is a blocked payout, never a breach. - FundingPips: No rule on Weekly or Bi-Weekly cycles. On-Demand requires best day ≤35%; Monthly also requires 35% for accounts bought on/after 15 Aug 2026 (plus 7 profitable days, 100% split). Verified on 2 Step Standard; other models unverified. - The5ers: Pro Growth requires minimum 3 profitable days. Hyper Growth has no minimum profitable days. - E8 Markets: Funded (SimFI Performance) only: best day ≤40% on E8 One, 35% on E8 Signature, checked at payout. No rule during the challenge stage, and no rule at all on E8 Pro. - FunderPro: Classic: none. One-Phase: 40%. Pro: 45%. Instant (funded): 15%. Zero Activation Fee: 35%, both eval phases and funded. DENOMINATOR IS CONTRADICTED: the rules page says a % of the PROFIT TARGET, the help centre says a % of TOTAL PROFITS, and the rules page switches between the two mid-answer. The help centre also states 'Funded Stages have no Consistency Rule', which its own Instant and Zero articles contradict. Rules change frequently, and a blank cell means the firm publishes no statement on that rule rather than that the rule is absent.
