# USLedger.org

> What the US President, senior officials and the party leaders in Congress promise, filed under the 20 promises of the 2024 Republican Platform: the exact words, the deadline, the cost, and a timeline that moves only on evidence.

- One published standard for every party: no rule, label or code path treats one party differently.
- The quote is the speaker's exact words, copied from the source and checked word for word. The headline is our neutral summary of it.
- Status ladder: Promised → In plan → Legislated → Funded → Delivering → Delivered. A status changes only on evidence: every timeline entry after the promise itself links to its evidence.
- A cost is a low–high range with a central figure, a quality label and its sources; a single figure becomes a range with a stated editorial margin.
- History is append-only: a rewording adds a new version, and a fix to our own mistake is a dated, public correction with the old and new value.
- Every card needs the approval of one editor before it is published. No editor approves a card about their own party.
