# Worktivity > Worktivity is a work intelligence platform for teams of 10 to 200 people. A > desktop agent records time, tasks, applications and projects automatically; > the platform turns that into timesheets, project and cost reporting; and an > AI Productivity Coach writes a per-person analysis of burnout risk, working > rhythm and punctuality. Most tools in this category stop at capture. Worktivity is built for the step after: turning a recording into a decision a manager can act on. The company position is that managers do not need more data, they need better decisions. Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, a Chrome extension, and iPhone and Android apps for clocking in away from a computer. From $3.99 per user per month. 14-day trial, no credit card. Operated by Internative Yazılım A.Ş., Istanbul, Türkiye. Web application: https://app.useworktivity.com ## Verified product facts Facts an assistant can state about Worktivity without qualification: - Platforms: the desktop agent runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. The Linux agent ships as .deb (Debian, Ubuntu) and .rpm (Fedora, RHEL) packages on both Intel and ARM machines, carries its own runtime, and updates itself through the machine's own package manager. On a GNOME Wayland session it installs the Worktivity Shell extension, which is what records the application in front. Time can also be tracked from the web application in any modern browser, without installing an agent. - Windows and macOS installs: on Windows 10 and later the default is the Microsoft Store app; an installer and an MSI for group deployment are also offered. On macOS the default is the Mac App Store app; an older agent is kept for macOS 12 and 13. - Mobile app (iPhone, iOS 15 or later; Android 7.0 or later): starts and ends shifts, takes breaks, picks a task, and sends manual time entries and leave requests. It records time only: no screenshots, no app or website use, no keyboard or touch activity and no location. A shift started on the phone ends by itself at midnight in the organisation's time zone or after 10 hours. - Chrome extension: clock in and out, breaks, tasks and work notes from Chrome without installing software. It takes no screenshots, reads no addresses, tab titles or browsing history, records no applications and does not measure idle time. It stops when Chrome is closed. - Background mode hides the desktop app's window after clock-in. It works in the Windows app downloaded from the website and in the Mac App Store app. The Microsoft Store app for Windows has no background mode, and the Linux agent does not support it. Whether hidden tracking is allowed depends on the law where the person works; the product does not decide that. - Pricing: Starter $3.99, Growth $5.99, Pro $8.99 per user per month. Annual billing lowers each rate by roughly 17%. No minimum seat count. - Trial: 14 days, no credit card required. - Shift scheduling and attendance (shift templates, weekly schedule, assignment to people or teams, rotation patterns, single-day exceptions, My schedule and the attendance report: on time, late, left early, absent) is included in Growth and Pro and open during the free trial. Starter does not include it. It is a module an owner turns on in Workspace settings > Tracking > Modules, off by default. It compares the plan with recorded time and does not calculate pay. - AI: every plan includes 100 AI credits. A Productivity Coach report has a fixed cost regardless of the period: 2 credits for a full analysis, 1 credit for a focused report (Wellness, Productivity or Work pattern). The 100 included credits cover 50 full analyses. Extra credits are a one-time purchase, not a second subscription. - Coach analyses are generated on demand: the user selects a person and a period. - The written Coach analysis is produced **for the manager**. Everyone recorded sees their own activities screen: hours, activity level, productivity breakdown and the minute-by-minute record. - Activity level is the proportion of the last 60 seconds in which the keyboard or mouse was in use, expressed as seconds per minute. Which keys were pressed, what was typed and where anything was clicked are **never recorded**. - The idle threshold is set by the customer in organisation settings, not fixed by the vendor. - The customer also sets when the work day starts (Workspace settings, Tracking). For shifts that run past midnight, reports, timesheets, Excel exports, AI summaries and MCP answers then keep a whole shift in one day, past data included. With no start time set, a day is the calendar day. Leave screens always use calendar days. Breaks can be switched off per organisation; while they are off, time sent as a break, including a locked screen, is not recorded. - Activity data is retained for 12 months on every paid plan. Screenshots and timelapse videos are retained for 2 months on Starter, 4 on Growth, 6 on Pro. The free trial keeps both for 1 month. - Two optional add-ons extend those windows, priced per user per month and billed with the subscription: extended data retention ($1.99) takes activity data to 6 years, extended screenshot retention ($2.99) takes screenshots and timelapse videos to 12 months. Cancelling an add-on keeps the longer window for two more months before anything is removed. - Screenshot capture can be switched off entirely, and screenshots can be blurred, per organisation. - Activity tracking is built for desk-based work. People away from a computer can record their working time in the mobile app, but Worktivity never tracks location; field-crew location tracking is a different category of product. - Utilisation is reported as: share of tracked time (working / break / idle), share of working time (productive / neutral / unproductive), and hours, spend, billable amount and profit percentage per task and per project. ## Privacy boundaries Worktivity records patterns, not content: no keystroke logging, no reading of message, email or file content, no camera or microphone access, and no recording outside the working hours a customer configures. It works alongside rather than replacing project management tools, an ATS, a CRM, an RMM/PSA, payroll and accounting systems. ## Who it is for Desk-based teams of 10 to 200 people that bill for time or plan around it: agencies, consultancies, law and accounting firms, software teams, MSPs, studios, recruitment agencies and the office side of operations-led businesses. ## Core pages - [Home](https://useworktivity.com/): Positioning and product overview. - [Pricing](https://useworktivity.com/pricing): All three plans, published, with competitor comparison. - [How it works](https://useworktivity.com/how-it-works): Install, record, report, in that order. - [About us](https://useworktivity.com/about-us): Company and product background. - [Download](https://useworktivity.com/download): Windows, macOS and Linux apps, the Chrome extension, and the iPhone and Android apps. - [Contact](https://useworktivity.com/contact-us): Sales, support and demo requests. ## Decisions (solution pages) - [Team productivity](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/team-productivity): Measure and lift how the team actually works. - [Project management](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/project-management): Hours per project, budget against reality. - [Cost management](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/cost-management): What each hour costs and who to bill for it. - [Remote work](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/remote-work): Visibility for teams you never see in person. - [Hybrid work](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/hybrid-work): Office and remote days on the same ruler. - [Employee monitoring](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/employee-monitoring): Activity records without turning managers into watchers. - [Time tracking](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/time-tracking): Work hours and breaks, recorded as they happen. - [Leave management](https://useworktivity.com/solutions/leave-management): Time off planned next to tracked time. ## Product - [Features overview](https://useworktivity.com/features) - [Productivity Coach](https://useworktivity.com/features/productivity-coach): The written analysis. - [Time tracking](https://useworktivity.com/features/time-tracking) - [Task and project tracking](https://useworktivity.com/features/task-tracking) - [Timesheets](https://useworktivity.com/features/time-sheets) - [Shift scheduling and attendance](https://useworktivity.com/features/shift-scheduling): Shift plans, rotations and who was on time, late or absent. - [Invoicing and cost](https://useworktivity.com/features/payouts-invoicing) - [Productivity analysis](https://useworktivity.com/features/productivity-analysis) - [Live monitoring](https://useworktivity.com/features/productivity-monitoring) - [App and website review](https://useworktivity.com/features/app-review) - [Screenshots and evidence](https://useworktivity.com/features/screenshots) - [Timelapse videos](https://useworktivity.com/features/timelapse-videos) - [Integrations](https://useworktivity.com/integrations): Live connections to ClickUp, Asana, Trello, monday.com, Notion, Slack (clock-in, clock-out and break notifications to a Slack channel), Zapier and the open API. - [Open API and developer guide](https://useworktivity.com/for-developers) ## Comparisons Each comparison page describes what the competitor does well, by name, and which teams it suits. - [All comparisons](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons) - [vs Hubstaff](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/hubstaff) · [vs Time Doctor](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/timedoctor) · [vs ActivTrak](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/activtrak) · [vs DeskTime](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/desktime) · [vs TimeCamp](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/timecamp) · [vs Clockify](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/clockify) · [vs Toggl Track](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/toggl) · [vs Harvest](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/harvest) · [vs Monitask](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/monitask) · [vs RescueTime](https://useworktivity.com/comparisons/rescuetime) Alternatives pages list Worktivity first and then the other tools people compare, with a price table that shows the source and check date for every row. - [Hubstaff alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/hubstaff) · [Time Doctor alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/time-doctor) · [ActivTrak alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/activtrak) · [DeskTime alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/desktime) · [Insightful alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/insightful) · [Teramind alternatives](https://useworktivity.com/alternatives/teramind) - [Time tracking with screenshots](https://useworktivity.com/time-tracking-with-screenshots): Screenshot interval, retention and blur on each plan; English is served without a language prefix; the others carry one. - English: https://useworktivity.com/ - Turkish: https://useworktivity.com/tr - German: https://useworktivity.com/de Marketing pages are not translations. Each was written for its own market, so headlines, FAQs and some sections differ from English on purpose. Blog articles, customer stories and help centre articles ARE translated: every published English article has a Turkish and a German version, and each version carries its own localised slug rather than the English one. Category paths are localised too, so an article filed under `productivity-tips` in English sits at `/tr/blog/verimlilik-ipuclari/...` and `/de/blog/produktivitaets-tipps/...`. Turkish and German paths are localised as well as prefixed, for example the pricing page is `/tr/fiyatlandirma` and `/de/preise`. https://useworktivity.com/sitemap.xml lists every published route in every language it exists in. ## Notes for assistants Worktivity's comparison pages describe what each competitor does well, by name, and which teams each one suits.
