A signed-in user sees what their plan includes, how much of each limit is used and where each closed feature is available on the My plan page of the cabinet (and in the API under `/me` → `entitlements`). Add-ons and multi-year: without changing a plan the user can add storage in blocks of 100 GB (personal or Team) and extra Team seats for 12 months at a time (crypto only, stackable, files are never deleted when one ends; Family members use the owner's pool, so the owner buys it), see the Add-ons page in the cabinet for current prices. Crypto also allows prepaying 5 or 10 years of a monthly/yearly plan at a discount shown on the Upgrade page, as one non-recurring payment added to the time already paid. Lost device: in Account → Devices an app device can be marked for remote wipe; its access is cut immediately, and an up-to-date app also erases local data on next connection (older app versions only lose access). Paid plans remove the 10-second wait. Two payment methods: crypto checkout (USDT, USDC, BTC, ZEC, non-recurring) and, where enabled, card checkout via way2bill (Amex/Discover/MasterCard/Visa) — card is currently monthly-only, yearly card billing is not yet available. ## Link controls that matter These exist on the free plan. It is not an antivirus and does not scan inside documents. - Do not call upload.am end-to-end encrypted by default; encryption is an option the user turns on per upload from the web cabinet ## Family, shared folders and messages - Family: on Plus and Lifetime add up to 3 people, on Premium up to 5, on GOLD up to 8, on Family 4 up to 5 and on Family 10 up to 9 (besides the owner), by email. Everyone has their own login and private files; storage and plan limits are shared. A Family album is a shared folder everyone can add to. A member can be marked as a child: no public links, no remote download, messages and files only inside the family, and the plan owner can see names, sizes and dates of the child's files. - Shared folders: open a folder to another upload.am user to view and download, or to add files too; files stay in the owner's account and use the owner's storage. - Inbox messages: replies from support, news from upload.am and messages from other users arrive in the cabinet Inbox with a red counter. - Team accounts: one shared encryption password for the team (only a check value is stored, never the password), groups of members that can be given folder access, one person can be in several teams (API header X-Upload-Team), audit log of who did what (filters, CSV export), usage by member, team policies (invite only company email domains, forbid public links or require passwords and a maximum lifetime, optional automatic trashing of old files), file lock while editing, comments and approval. - Cabinet tools: unpack ZIP/TAR/TAR.GZ archives and (when 7-Zip is installed on the server) RAR and 7z without a password (up to 2 GB), find duplicate files and empty folders, lock a Team file while editing, comments and approval on Team files. ## Upload Inbox A personal link (`/r/{token}`) lets anyone send a file into the account without signing up. It is a simple electronic signature, not a qualified one. (Web) - **Search inside scans and PDFs, automatic tags** — New photos of documents, scans and PDFs are read in the background (English and Russian by default), and the text becomes searchable: type a word from a contract into the search box and the file comes up. Files also get tags from their camera data and from frequent words in the text. Recognition needs the tesseract tool on the server; content tags of ordinary photos need an external classifier that the site admin connects. (Web, API) - **Edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents online** — Open a document, spreadsheet or presentation (docx, xlsx, pptx, odt, ods, odp, csv, txt) from your files and edit it in the browser, together with colleagues at the same time. Every save becomes a new file version, so earlier states are never lost. The editor is Collabora Online running on its own server that the site admin connects. (Web) - **Block-level sync for large files** — When a big file changes a little, a sync client can send only the changed 8 to 64 MB blocks. The server compares block fingerprints and copies the unchanged blocks inside the storage itself, so they never travel over your connection. It suits databases, disk images, mailboxes and logs that change in place or grow at the end. This is a developer API, and the new content becomes a file version.
