# Toycycle > Toycycle is an online toy resale and consignment marketplace based in Hayward, California. Families buy hand-inspected used, open box, and overstock toys and baby gear from premium brands at a fraction of retail — and consign their kids' outgrown toys for cash or store credit. Every item is inspected, cleaned, checked against CPSC recall lists, and honestly condition-graded before listing. Toycycle was founded by co-founders Rhonda Collins and Sarfraz Arshad to keep quality toys in circulation instead of landfills. Sustainability is the core of the business: every used, open box, and overstock purchase extends a toy's life and avoids new manufacturing, and the "Eco Stars" line offers brand-new non-toxic, eco-friendly toys from brands vetted for sustainable business practices — Toycycle Certified for quality, sustainability, and resale value, so they can be consigned back when outgrown. Coverage includes The Washington Post, Lifehacker, BabyCenter, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (the leading circular-economy organization) — see https://toycycle.co/pages/our-press Item conditions: New (original unopened packaging), New with Tags (unused, original tags), Open Box (returned or opened packaging, typically unused — not the same as used), and Used, which is graded Like New, Excellent, Good, or Minor Flaws. A small share of new stock is overstock (new items from excess retail inventory).
