It’s about how,  somewhere among all the cities, streets, languages, people, and memories, you can lose yourself –  and suddenly start questioning yourself who you are, where you come from, or where you truly belong. There are no clear answers. We learn to live with what we know and with what we may never find out.  How to live with our past, with others, and – perhaps most difficult of all – with ourselves. - [Lisa LeBlanc Releases New Single/Video For “Too Many Cooks”](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/23/lisa-leblanc-releases-new/): Somewhere between funk and country, "Too Many Cooks" was co-produced by Benoit Morier - who has been playing with Lisa LeBlanc for years alongside, Eric Heigle (Lost Bayou Ramblers). But there lies the beauty of this longstanding music genre. Punk rock was never meant to play safe, cater to anyone’s taste, or indulge the listening apparatuses of those gatekeepers and purists who think someone invented this genre just for them. Punk rock has that unfiltered freedom to be whatever it may please without any constrictions, always breaking rules and shapeshifting boundaries, and there are artists who fully understand it. Tan LeRacoon is unquestionably one of those artists who were there when punk rock was just a new name in the game, and he is still here today, with his latest full lenght release that shakes all the foundations and rules of the genre. Living through all the significant eras for this genre, he learned that punk rock is more about capturing that fleeting feeling of joy, employing all the brilliant ideas, and channeling them through marvelous songs. He perfectly summed up the essence of punk rock through “We Didn't Come Here Just To Be Nice,” a brand-new recording that not only sums up what punk rock should stand for nowadays, but pretty much acts as a self-explanatory showcase through its title. - [Spucke – Zustand LP (La Pochette Surprise)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/23/spucke-zustand-lp-la-pochette-surprise/): If you paid attention to our pages over the last couple of weeks, then you already learned La Pochette Surprise is about delivering outstanding music, crafted by all those finest artists, bands, and music outlets Hamburg has to offer. Spucke is definitely one of those bands you should keep your eyes peeled for. With “Zustand,” their debut full-length album released on July 30th, they create quite a buzz not only on the local but also on the European punk rock scene. The first press of the record is almost sold out, which does not come as a surprise considering the fact that these folks sound impressive from start to finish. And what’s not to love when they deliver that aggressive, unfiltered, raw, in-your-face punk rock where every drum beat arrives as a well-deserved slap in the face, every guitar riff comes as an air barrage thundering above your head, and the vocalist yells at you as you owe him some cash. Besides that sweet, fierce, aggressive punk rock sound, you may expect all the grittiness garage rock has to offer and old-school hardcore punk dynamics and groove that unquestionably elevate everything to new heights. Spucke produced their latest record in a way it sounds both retro and contemporary. Therefore, if you were unaware when “Zustand” was released, you would assume it was an eighties hardcore punk record, or maybe brought from the vinyl pressing plant yesterday. It has a timeless quality that will force you to return to it every time you crave some feral punk rock experience. - [Mark Winters – The Science In Me](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/23/mark-winters-the-science-in-me/): Let’s be honest for a second: everyone needs some singer-songwriter music in their life now and then. Writing, composing, arranging, recording, and producing songs yourself makes them even more powerful, meaningful, and captivating than music crafted by an entire band. There are many artists who have recognized the power of this process, delivering nothing but exceptional works that resonate profoundly with the audience. Mark Winters, an outstanding singer-songwriter based in Sugar Land, Texas, is certainly one of them. With “The Science In Me,” his new full-length album released today on all streaming platforms, he unquestionably demonstrates the power of singer-songwriter music. Across ten incredible compositions, he proves that this particular genre, when done right, can still sound fresh, unique, innovative, beautiful, and exciting, like the first time you’ve heard it. As is usually the case, Mark Winters uses a singer-songwriter approach with various techniques, approaches, and styles in order to illustrate luxuriant sonic imagery. Perhaps indie comes to mind first, as the artist incorporated all the fundamental elements of indie rock and indie pop in his music, but do not be surprised if you stumble upon some of the finest properties borrowed from acoustic rock, indie folk, folk pop, folk rock, alt-pop, etc. During each composition, he stays loyal to the primary sonic direction, while the additional sonic ingredients serve more as necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that make this album such a pleasant listening experience worth repeating all over again. On top of that, he also thought about everything while working on this material, so you’ll hear all those qualities that meet trends in music production, while infusing a subtle touch of nostalgia in his songs. Therefore, it’s one of those records that will not only appeal to the fans of singer-songwriter music, but also to anyone who appreciates genuine songcrafting, clever composing, and flawless musical performance. - [Hawel/McPhail – Sorrow Wonderland LP (La Pochette Surprise)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/22/hawel-mcphail-sorrow-wonderland-lp-la-pochette-surprise/): Sometimes, all we need to set ourselves in the right mood is to put a needle on the fresh record, crank the amplifier up to the max, and enjoy those raspy, crunchy, fuzzy sounds. That’s the exact thing that happens once you put on Sorrow Wonderland by Hawel/McPhail. It’s one of those records that not only shines with tremendous guitar work and groovy beats but also transports you to an entirely different time and place almost instantly. Hawel/McPhail’s music exists somewhere at the intersection between sixties and seventies garage rock landscape, luxuriant sonic maneuvers borrowed from seventies psychedelic rock music, old school punk rock dynamics, and even some krautrock moments thrown into this irresistible cocktail now and then. Some garage rock purists might say this is way too much genres combined together, but do not worry, Hawel/McPhail know what they’re doing, and they’re doing it pretty damn well. Only a few bands can immediately transport you into the sixties and seventies, eras where many of the mentioned rock subgenres ruled the airwaves, but of course, as usually is the case, they also threw bits and pieces of the nineties and contemporary sound to spice things up, develop some extra flavor, and uplift the listening experience to completely new heights. Therefore, these experiments with so many different yet complementary styles, enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details resulted in a brilliant album that will stay with you for a while. - [wearemarvin – Don’t Panic LP (La Pochette Surprise)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/22/wearemarvin-dont-panic-lp-la-pochette-surprise/): The indie rock scene has thrived in recent years, with many incredible bands bringing only premium sounds to the table. And honestly, there is no bad indie music anymore, as every artist, band, or music outlet produces some of the finest works the world has ever witnessed. Empowered by exceptional production, outstanding musicianship, and brilliant ideas, they all bring only the best qualities of indie music upfront, and if you’re indie music fan, these modern times are probably the best era for this genre. wearemarvin is definitely one of those incredible German indie band that caught our eyes and ears recently. With Don't Panic, their latest full-length material released by a Hamburg-based prolific record label, La Pochette Surprise, they emit tremendous ideas, lush sounds, and groovy beats, housed and adorned by contemporary qualities that meet all the trends in music production. Surely, indie might be their primary weapon in the arsenal, but it certainly ain’t the only one. Quite the contrary, you’ll notice how they incorporated some of the finest properties borrowed from alternative, garage, post-punk, and indie pop. The band wisely moves through various sonic universes while remaining loyal to their initial sonic direction, something that they do wisely, expertly, carefully, with such precision and finesse. Across eleven compositions, bounded by the fundamentals of indie rock music, they meet somewhere at the crossroads between late nineties, early noughties, and contemporary sound, and they continiously deliver some of the finest songs you’ll hear in a while. - [Angine de Poitrine Announce Epic 2027 Tour](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/22/angine-de-poitrine-announce/): In the meantime, Angine de Poitrine are currently traveling Europe and North America on a completely sold-out headline run continuing tonight and tomorrow, October 21-22n, with a two-night stand at Paris's historic Élysée Montmartre. In times when bad news are popping up from all possible sides, ongoing global upheavals and conflicts are occupying social media, and reality may seem like a nightmare, there’s no better remedy for reality than a collection of marvelous alternative rock songs. And those are the moments when Bachratten’s latest full-length album, “Rockmusik,” jumps to the rescue. Released via prolific Hamburg-based record label La Pochette Surprise, this magnificent album contains twelve outstanding compositions capable of convincing even the pickiest listeners to sit down, relax, and contemplate life. Sonically, the band pairs decades of rich German alternative rock heritage with early-to-mid-nineties American alternative rock a la The Breeders, Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, Mudhoney, and many other similar music outlets, but as usually is the case, Bachratten in the end deliver their recognizable sonic experience that carries so many impressive signature moves. Perhaps alternative rock shines here, as the band incorporated all the fundamental elements of the genre in each composition, but you’ll notice how some other styles like grunge, garage, punk rock, and indie rock found their way into this sonic equation. Everything is so thoughtfully, wisely, carefully, and expertly assembled and incorporated, keeping in mind that those additional elements are there for decoration, accentuation, and elevation, while the alternative rock retains its primary purpose. Enhanced by modern music production, this material also leans towards a late eighties and early nineties sound, so there are plenty of qualities that will keep even the pickiest music enthusiasts occupied from beginning to end. It’s certainly one of those complex yet easy listening alternative rock albums that you simply need in your record collection. - [Anna Wydra – Lonely Motherfucker LP (La Pochette Surprise Records)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/21/anna-wydra-lonely-motherfucker-lp-la-pochette-surprise-records/): When it comes to folk-infused indie rock, the crowd tends to overthink and overreact, claiming this subgenre has already said everything it had to say. But people who claim everything has been said and done in an ever-evolving genre may seem incompetent for judging a book by its cover, and many artists have already brought so much innovation to the folk-rock landscape. Anna Wydra, a profoundly creative singer-songwriter from Hamburg, Germany, proves that not only folk and indie rock go perfectly together but they still have so many things to offer. With “Lonely Motherfucker,” her latest full-length album released almost a year ago via La Pochette Surprise Records, she brings everything you dearly love about the genre, but also expands her sonic vocabulary into uncharted territories, making folk and indie music as fresh, unique, innovative, and exciting as possible. Across eleven incredible compositions, you may find not only those fundamental elements of folk and indie music, but also some of the finest properties borrowed from Americana and alternative, indie pop, and many more along the way. The best part about it is how Anna Wydra combines a singer-songwriter approach with all those elements in order to illustrate luxuriant sonic imagery. Indeed, “Slide” serves as a harbinger of big things to come in 2027, as Now, Now prepare to fully step into their next era. - [Interview: Yoo Doo Right](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/20/interview-yoo-doo-right/): Your new single, "Sofort, Si Fort," carries a meditative, somber weight with its deep counter harmonies and floating bass lines. What was the initial idea behind this track, and how did you construct its layered, mystical atmosphere? - [SUCK – Gimme Gabba Gabba 10″ EP (La Pochete Surprise Records)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/20/suck-gimme-gabba-gabba-10-ep-la-pochete-surprise-records/): Let’s be honest, the punk rock scene has become oversaturated with all those sugar-coated, mellow, same old, repetitive, bland bands, who often deliver recordings that do come nowhere near the ethos and politics the underground punk rock scene stands for. Sadly, punk rock has become one of those genres that have been repetitively diluted and washed over for the masses, streaming platforms, social media, and influencers who rarely know what punk rock is all about. But if you take a deep dive beneath the surface and pay close attention to what’s happening on the underground scene, you’ll find an entire palette of exceptional bands. You’ll be surprised by the sheer quality, persistance, and quality, and many of them will almost instantly become a staple on your playlists and record collections. SUCK is unquestionably one of those bands that demands your utmost attention. With “Gimme Gabba Gabba,” their marvelous 10” extended play release, published by a prolific Hamburg-based record label La Pochete Surprise, in March of 2025, they deliver four incredible compositions that could, by their definition and structure, be a true representative of how punk rock should sound nowadays. What makes this EP such a brilliant showcase is how these songs channel that sweet, in-your-face punk rock aggression and attitude. The band does not waste your time; they’re not here to force you to understand anything but solely focus on a message and music, and that’s it. Take it with a grain of salt, take it seriously, or take it as you want it. SUCK are one of those bands existing with the pure intention of delivering a heavy, abrasive, dynamic, groovy punk rock sound, adorned with abrasive verses and anthemic choruses. Of course, there are also additional styles involved here, like garage rock and hardcore punk, but these are just enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other similar details and nuances that make “Gimme Gabba Gabba” even more pleasant to the ears. - [Xajka Released New Album “III”](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/20/xajka-released-new-album-iii/): Prolific Skopje post-punk four-piece Xajka have officially released their highly anticipated new album, III, via Geenger Records. Outstanding music outlets emerge from every part of the globe, bringing compositions or entire albums that unquestionably deserve the broader audience's attention. And while the quality is unquestionably there, there’s also that strange feeling that they sound a bit repetitive, predictable, and bland, often following rules imposed by the influencers, social media, and streaming platforms. Thankfully, there are artists like Horse Driver breaking all the rules and shapeshifting boundaries of several genres at once, delivering soulful, passionate, energetic, captivating music. With his self-titled debut full-lenght album, this mysterious Richmond-based artist brings everything you dearly love about psychedelic rock music. Across nine incredible compositions, he showcases how this longstanding genre, when done right, can still sound fresh, unique, innovative, and exciting, like the first time you have heard it. Perhaps psychedelic rock reigns supreme here, as Horse Driver incorporated all the fundamental elements of the genre in each composition, but you’ll unquestionably stumble upon some of the finest properties borrowed from stoner, alternative, art rock, krautrock, and other similar styles along the way. But, as usually is the case, the artist uses all these additional sonic ingredients as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details, while psychedelic rock remains a primary sonic direction. Another thing worth pointing out is how these songs resonate thanks to the excellent production and mastering. This debut continuously levitates between modern sound and nostalgia, and you’ll notice qualities that meet all the trends in modern music production, helping each instrument to shine in the mix. It proves that Horse Driver thought about everything while writing, composing, arranging, and producing this fine piece of artistry, as each composition shines in the limelight with its unique characteristics. It’s one of those recordings that will not only appeal to the psychedelic rock fans but also to anyone who appreciates catchy, memorable, engaging, captivating, perfectly assembled, and flawlessly performed music. - [Dubar Sound – Dream Reality LP (PDV)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/19/dubar-sound-dream-reality-lp-pdv/): It’s not so big of a secret that we passionately love good old dub music, and we all get excited when some fresh music hits our doorstep. And what’s not to love when it always sounds good? You get all those reverby, echoic, delayish orchestrations empowered with loads of various manipulations and steady, well-accentuated grooves. Maybe even some deeply emotive, enchanting vocals over the top, and you’re always in for a treat. With “Dream Reality,” Dražen Čižmek, a man behind a marvelous Croatian dub music outlet, Dubar Sound, combines years of experience with deep knowledge about one of the longevious genres Jamaican cultural heritage has to offer. On top of all that, he also crafts music deeply immersed in his boundless creativity, talent, and tremendous knack for assembling meaningful, passionate, soulful dub compositions where each sonic and rhythmic maneuver has its spot and purpose. Across ten incredible songs, he explores not only fundamental elements of dub, but also steppers and roots reggae, atmospheric dub, and electronica, chasing a colorful, distinctive, versatile sound that entirely differs from the vast sea of same old, repetitive, predictable dub recordings. What makes “Dream Reality” so appealing to the ears is this genre-pushing, forward-thinking, innovative dynamic that really stands out through a comprehensive collection of carefully, thoughtfully, stacked, marvelously manipulated sounds. Besides all that lush sonic experimentation and manipulation, you’ll notice how the sound quality meets all the contemporary trends in music production. It plays a significant role by forcing listeners to focus on music endeavours crafted by a true dub aficionado. Even the tiniest details, nuances, accentuations, enhancements, and layers are vividly audible here, making “Dream Reality” such an exceptional dub piece that will definitely get a dedicated space in your record collection. It’s one of those records you should not miss if you love dub music from the bottom of your heart. - [Marinada – Savršena Marinada LP (PDV)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/19/marinada-savrsena-marinada-lp-pdv/): As much as the music scene moves forward with continuous innovation, experimentation, and various genre-bending shenanigans, we all must agree that the crowd usually leans much more towards those well-known, established musical paths. And these established paths do not necessarily explore fundamental, predictable, repetitive, bland sonic maneuvers, but do lean much more towards something more familiar to what the crowd used to listen to in clubs, parties, and on radio stations decades before. In the case of Marinada, an excellent alt-pop group based in Rijeka, musical expression means many things. In one way, their music delivers that sweet synth-pop, synthwave, and new wave sound we all adore, but on the other hand, their song structures are so innovative, unpredictable, and enchanting by all means. It’s always good to hear that there are artists and bands who think outside of the box, and Marinada stands as a perfect example of how retro sounds can sound so innovative, catchy, engaging, and captivating. With “Savršena Marinada,” their third full-lenght album released via PDV about a year ago, they do not only showcase their outstanding ideas and exceptional musicianship, but also tremendous knowledge, experience, creativity, talent, and ongoing innovation in sound. The band combines sheer minimalism of eighties synth music with all those subtle yet vividly hearable details that make their music so spacious, complex, and technically demanding in a fresh, innovative way. Besides all the fundamental elements of synth-pop, synthwave, and new wave, which are audible in each composition, you’ll also notice moments where Marinada dabbles with art rock, art punk, post-punk, new romantics, and primitive electronica, making “Savršena Marinada” such a colorful, versatile, captivating material suitable not only for synth-pop fans but also for anyone who appreciates cleverly assembled and flawlessly performed music. It’s unquestionably a treat for your listening apparatus that you should not miss. - [Ivan Komlinović – Hit The Gate LP (PDV)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/19/ivan-komlinovic-hit-the-gate-lp-pdv/): If you paid close attention to what’s happening on the regional electronic music scene in recent years, you should be aware of Ivan Komlinović’s whereabouts and activities. He’s one of those music producers who not only delivers some of the finest works modern electronica has witnessed recently, but also unleashed a critically acclaimed full-length album, “Hit The Gate,” in November of 2024 via prolific PDV Records. PDV has always had a great sense for good music that could eventually shake the foundations of not only the Croatian but the regional scene, and that’s what happened with “Hit The Gate,” when “Trigger’s Broom,” a single included on this material, received a prestigious Elector award in the category for the best single/EP of the year, while Ivan Komlinović also received another Elector award in the category for the best producer of the year. And really, there’s no wonder how this happened, considering the entire album sounds amazing. Most importantly, it shines with exceptional production that could easily stand back-to-back with anything renowned greats of the genre have unleashed in the present and past. Speaking of music genres, Ivan Komlinović has so much to offer with “Hit The Gate,” as the entire material falls under the electronic music category, but to experienced ears, it’s more about transitions, nuances, flow, and feeling, which are omnipresent here. Perhaps Komlinović uses modern techno as a foundation, but if you dive deeper into the core, you’ll notice how deep techno, acid techno, and Detroit techno continuously lurk around, crafting that hypnotic, irresistible, addictive, danceable ambiance. Komlinović skillfully levitates between modern techno music and fundamental elements of the early nineties scene, with an emphasis on a sound quality that meets all the trends in modern music production. “Hit The Gate” has so many things to offer to anyone willing to spend some time with these songs, and it certainly rewards repeated listens by revealing all those hidden gems which Komlinović implemented so skillfully, wisely, and creatively. - [Plazmatick – Fionna LP (PDV)](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/19/plazmatick-fionna-lp-pdv/): Like any other music genre, electronic music continues to evolve into something that could be described as the sum of all its parts, or maybe something greater than those humble beginnings from many decades ago. This ever-evolving environment matters for two main reasons. On one side, it gives more space, platform, tools, and options for artists to explore and evolve, while on the other, it provides fresh, innovative, innovative music to the crowd. Plazmatick, a prolific Croatian DJ and music producer, understands this better than anyone else. With every upcoming release, he further expands his sonic vocabulary, breaking all the rules and shapeshifting boundaries by crafting danceable, dynamic, groovy, enchanting compositions like no one else in the Balkans. His approach to composing and producing works quite well because he’s not bound by a singular electronic music subgenre, nor is he interested in staying in the same lane all the time. With “Fionna,” his third full-length material released via Croatian indie label PDV in March of 2025, he unquestionably proves how electronic music can be everything you ever desired to be, all while staying true to his roots and meeting all the fundamentals of the genre. And the best part about Plazmatick’s sound is how he experiments with so many subgenres at once. Depending of the current mood or atmosphere, his works often explore breakbeat, trip-hop, IDM, dubstep, modern electronica, cinematic electronica, drum and bass, dubstep, synthwave, and sometimes even jazz. Of course, the list goes on and one, as this skillful producer updates his sonic vocabulary with each upcoming composition. “Fionna” is one of those recordings where each new listening session reveals new layers, details, ambiances, enhancements, accentuations, nuances, and other hidden gems, and it’s certainly an album you’ll dearly hold in your record collection. - [Heart & Lung Share “I Hate The Sun” Video](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/17/heart-lung-share-i-hate/): Five years after Twistin’ The Knife Away, Cleveland, Ohio punk band Heart & Lung return with Shut Up About The Sun, out October 16 via Red Scare Industries. A music video for the song is also out today and available to watch via YouTube. - [breakkaway Share New Single “I Know” Featuring  Softcult](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/17/breakkaway-share-new-single/): breakkaway released their first single in 2023; now, over three years later and with nearly 22 million streams, the collective is ready to release their first definitive collection. Coming primarily from DIY punk bands, the members treat Time Thieves as an exercise in melody and songcraft that keeps the energy of their punk roots. Together Time Thieves bring years of Midwestern DIY experience that culminates in concise, catchy two- to four-minute songs with crunchy riffs and introspective lyrics, delivered in a 25-minute set that can destroy a crowd, apologize for it, and clear the stage before the next band has their hi-hat stand together. - [Yummm Drop New Single “Yarrow”](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/16/yummm-drop-new-single-yarrow/): Yummm is the recording project of Mexican/Armenian Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter Matty Bedrosian, known for his work with artists including From Indian Lakes, CASANDRA, and others. Now, the band returns with their highly anticipated second full-length record, titled Ghosts, arriving via Sunderland’s own Little Rocket Records. Empowered by even more excellent ideas, refined musicianship, and a punchy modern production, Tearjerker fires on all cylinders across this release. Built squarely upon the foundations of their debut, Ghosts is a true labor of love and heartbreak, a bigger, louder, and far more emotionally charged collection of songs shaped by personal reflection, loss, and everything left unsaid. Across twelve outstanding tracks, Tearjerker showcases the full scope of their creativity, talent, experience, and genre knowledge. The group has always possessed a natural talent for delivering beautiful, captivating verses that roll into massive, catchy choruses, and that signature approach is present throughout this entire record. Every single composition is structured with real care, building towards infectious, anthemic refrains that practically force you to sing along at the top of your lungs while tapping your feet to the rhythm. The band balances between aggressive street-level energy and polished, melodic craft, making these songs feel personal yet custom-built for packed punk rock clubs. - [le_mol’s New Album “split split” Out Today On Noise Appeal Records](https://thoughtswordsaction.com/2026/10/16/le-mols-new-album-split-split/): It’s an album about division, fragmentation and the strange idea that splitting things over and over again might actually bring us back together.
