# Summit

> Summit is an invitation-only community and events company for entrepreneurs, founders, investors, creatives, scientists and leaders. Founded in 2008, Summit produces multi-day flagship gatherings (Summit At Sea, Summit Basecamp Lake Tahoe, Summit Napa Valley), smaller destination excursions, and a year-round Summit Membership with monthly gatherings in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Austin and New York City. Summit Sessions, the talks and performances recorded at these events, are published at summit.co/videos.

Summit (Summit Series, L.L.C.) selects members through an application and interview that look for leadership in a field and alignment with Summit's community principles: hospitality, friendship, learning and being present. Programming spans Talks, Performances, Wellness, Culinary, Arts and Impact. Past presenters include John Legend, Jeff Bezos, Shonda Rhimes, Jessica Alba, Malcolm Gladwell, Kendrick Lamar, Jane Fonda and Brene Brown.
