# StratVault

> StratVault is an open investment strategy platform for Indian stocks and mutual funds. Experts publish YAML-based screening strategies that anyone can run against live NSE/BSE market data to get scored verdicts on any ticker.

## What StratVault Does

- Lets experts publish investment screening strategies as structured YAML rules
- Runs strategies against live stock and mutual fund data (via yfinance and mftool)
- Scores each ticker on a weighted scale and returns a verdict: STRONG MATCH, PARTIAL MATCH, or WEAK MATCH
- Community features: star/bookmark strategies, leave reviews with 1-5 star ratings
- Covers Indian equities (NSE/BSE) and mutual funds

## How Strategies Work

Each strategy defines a set of rules. A rule specifies a financial metric, a condition (greater than, less than, between, etc.), a threshold value, and an importance weight (1-5 points). When a user runs a strategy against a ticker, StratVault fetches live data, evaluates each rule, and produces a weighted score with passing/failing reasons.

- Consistency Score (positive returns across 1Y/3Y/5Y)
- Current NAV
