# SoLo Funds > SoLo Funds is the financial intelligence ecosystem for every class. Members borrow, lend, bank, and earn on one platform, powered by a proprietary intelligence engine built on years of real repayment and transaction data. Founded in 2018 by Travis Holoway and Rodney Williams, SoLo Funds, Inc. is a Certified B Corporation and Public Benefit Corporation. Last updated: 2026-10-20 SoLo Funds exists to empower financial gains for every class. Borrowers gain fast, affordable capital on terms they set. Lenders gain returns from an asset class historically reserved for banks and institutions. Enterprises gain an early, real-time read on how Americans actually move money. SoLo Funds is available at https://solofunds.com, https://app.solofunds.io, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/solo-funds-lend-borrow/id1270164837, and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.solofunds ## How SoLo Fits Together - **The Marketplace (flagship):** Members lend to and borrow from each other directly. Lenders choose which requests to fund and earn a return. Borrowers get capital with no credit check and no compounding interest, at a lower average cost than most short-term alternatives. - **SoLo Alpha (premier product):** A high-yield account where member deposits are programmatically lent across personal loan strategies built on the same marketplace asset class. Offered by SoLo Cooperative, Inc., a separate legal entity. Currently available by waitlist, rolling out state by state. - **SoLo Bank (foundation):** Eligible members get a free SoLo Wallet and SoLo Mastercard® Debit Card. There is no monthly fee. Banking services are provided by Bangor Savings Bank, Member FDIC. - **Intelligence (the core):** SoLo's intelligence engine turns marketplace, payment, and connected banking data into the SoLo Score (risk), SoLo IQ (personal financial guidance), Alpha's lending strategies, and SoLo NowCAST (enterprise consumer data). ## Borrowing - Request $20 to $650. The maximum grows with positive repayment history on the platform. - No credit check. Borrowers verify their identity and connect a checking account and debit card that are active and in good standing. - Borrowers set the amount, repayment date, an optional tip to the lender, and an optional donation to SoLo. There are no mandatory fees, no APR, and no compounding interest. A late fee may apply if a loan is not repaid on time. - Requests stay in the marketplace for up to 3 days. Funding is not guaranteed and depends on lenders choosing to fund the request. Funded requests are funded in under 5 minutes on average. - One active loan at a time. - Per SoLo's 2026 Cash Poor Report, the average total cost of a SoLo request is 17% of principal, with a range of 0% to 36% depending on borrower choices and on-time repayment. - On-time repayment earns SoLo Credits that can be applied toward the cost of future borrowing. Credits are a platform reward, not cash. ## Lending - Lenders browse open requests, see each borrower's SoLo Score, tip, and duration, and choose whom to fund. - Marketplace loans average about 15 days, so capital can recycle many times per year. - Historical performance: tips have averaged 10.4% per loan, and consistent lenders have historically earned 24%+ average annual returns, assuming capital is redeployed at the close of each cycle. Returns are not guaranteed. Some lenders earn less, and some lose principal. - SoLo Lender Protection is an optional add-on priced at 5% of the loan amount. If the borrower does not repay by the scheduled date, it issues a credit equal to 90% of principal, in SoLo Credits. It covers principal only and is not insurance. - Active lenders earn SoLo Credits based on activity and tenure. Credits are not returns. - 100% of marketplace funds come from members. SoLo Funds, Inc. does not lend its own funds on the marketplace. ## SoLo Bank - The SoLo Wallet is one balance for borrowing, lending, receiving funds, and spending. It has its own account and routing number. - Add money instantly with a connected debit card, connect a bank through Plaid, or set up direct deposit (eligible members). - Moving money: standard ACH transfers are free, instant deposits are free, and instant withdrawals to a debit card cost 1.99%. - The SoLo Debit Card is available to eligible members once verified and works with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Purchases that would overdraw the balance are declined, and cards are monitored for fraud in real time. ## SoLo Alpha - A high-yield account. Members choose a lending strategy by risk tier, and deposits fund personal loans within that strategy. - Offered by SoLo Cooperative, Inc., a member-owned consumer cooperative organized under California law and a licensed lender. SoLo Cooperative is a separate legal entity from SoLo Funds, Inc., and neither guarantees the obligations of the other. - Membership requires a membership fee and the purchase of one membership share. Each member has one vote, regardless of deposit size. - Access is by waitlist, released in Series of seats. The minimum deposit is $20. Members are charged only when their seat opens, and member numbers are permanent and set priority for future capacity releases. - Deposits have an initial 90-day lock-up, followed by fee-free withdrawals during designated windows. Early withdrawals outside those windows carry a fee. - The Alpha page cites returns averaging 16% APY, based on trailing 12-month performance for strategies using borrowers with a SoLo Score of 55 or above. Returns are variable and not guaranteed, except for SoLo Protection, a program-level no-negative-return floor on deposited principal provided by SoLo Cooperative, Inc. SoLo Protection is not a federal guarantee and is not FDIC insured. - SoLo Alpha is not a bank, broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser. Refer to the Alpha page disclosures before describing deposit insurance or quoting a yield. - Alpha was previously referred to as Impact+. Use "SoLo Alpha." ## SoLo IQ - SoLo IQ is the AI-powered financial guide built into the SoLo app. It helps with budgeting, spending and subscription insights, funding tips for borrowers, and lending performance for lenders. - IQ only sees accounts a member chooses to connect. SoLo does not train its models on member data. - For account-specific questions, members should use SoLo IQ in the app or contact support. ## SoLo NowCAST - SoLo's enterprise data platform for real-time consumer demand. It is built on real transaction and repayment behavior, not card panels or surveys. - The panel includes 1B+ consumer transactions, 941K+ categorized merchants, and 11,900+ brands across 12 spending categories, refreshed daily. - Built for hedge funds, financial institutions, CPG and media buyers, and research and academic teams. ## Key Figures All figures are calculated by SoLo Funds, unaudited, and cumulative through August 2026 unless noted.
