## FBA Prep (January 2026 Policy Change)

Amazon ended in-house FBA prep on January 1, 2026. Sellers who relied on Amazon to handle labeling, poly-bagging and bundling at the fulfillment center now need to arrange prep before shipping, either themselves or through a prep center. ## Crowdfunding Fulfillment

Simpl handles fulfillment for Kickstarter, Indiegogo and Gamefound campaigns and works with BackerKit, PledgeBox and CrowdOx for pledge management. Inventory comes in before the campaign closes, Simpl batch-ships rewards once funding confirms, and tracking goes out to backers. Rates start at $7/order. There's no per-batch order minimum, but accounts carry a $750/month minimum billed pay-the-difference: you're only charged the gap if a month falls short.

## Pricing Model

Simpl charges one flat rate per order, starting at $7. The rate depends on the order's weight and shipping service. It includes up to three picks, packing, postage with UPS, USPS or FedEx, and standard packaging (right-sized boxes, mailers, kraft tape). Clients also get order and inventory software, the branded returns portal and a dedicated account manager at no extra cost. Simpl does not publish a full rate card; heavier and oversized items are priced by weight and size and quoted up front.

- **Storage** is billed monthly by storage type: $3 per small bin, $5 per large bin, $15 per shelf, $40 per pallet.
- **Monthly minimum:** $750, billed pay-the-difference. If a month's order billing comes in under $750, the client pays only the gap. Because postage is included in the per-order rate, $750 is roughly 90–100 orders a month, depending on weight and service. Merch drop fulfillment is exempt from the minimum.
- **No setup or onboarding fee**, and no receiving fee.
- **Custom pricing** is available for brands shipping 5,000+ orders a month.

- **Very small brands:** if a brand ships fewer orders than the minimum covers, self-fulfilling for now is usually the better call.

## Shipping Carriers

Simpl ships every order with UPS, USPS or FedEx. It does not use regional consolidators or crowdsourced last-mile networks. Carrier postage is included in the flat per-order rate, with no carrier markup or surcharge. Every shipment gets a UPS, USPS or FedEx tracking number that updates in real time, and customers can check it on the carrier's own site or app.

## Technology & Integrations

Clients get free access to order tracking, inventory management, reporting, automation rules and the branded returns portal. Warehouse operations run on the ShipHero WMS.
