In 2001, we established the Buena Vida Health Care Center\. Now home to more than 240 long\-term and short\-term residents, our dedicated bilingual staff provide continuing care and rehabilitation to our aging and disabled populations\. Outside of the center, our staff visit homes, knock on doors and go beyond expectations every day to make sure community members get the care they need\. Our recent partnership with NYU Langone Brooklyn PPS to provide FREE Asthma Home Assessment\(s\) and the OneCity Health Innovation Grant–RiseBoro was awarded the largest grant to help Brooklyn residents address above\-average levels of obesity, diabetes, and uncontrolled hypertension\. These community health programs are instrumental to building a thriving healthy community\.
- [Housing](http://wpupdate-riseboro.pantheonsite.io/division/housing/): RiseBoro has been responsible for the development of several thousand units of affordable housing, ranging from single\-family homes to scattered site rehabs to large mixed use developments\. Additionally, RiseBoro provides property management of units that offer permanent housing for low to moderate\-income families, senior citizens, and a host of special needs populations including formerly homeless families, veterans, physically disabled, and victims of domestic violence\. Across all development and management activities, RiseBoro emphasizes energy efficiency, accessibility, and active design\.

Once we secure housing for individuals and families, our innovative programs offer ongoing skills building, tenants' rights and financial literacy trainings for residents\. Our dedicated staff and inclusive approach equips every individual to be an agent of change in their life and their community\.

Since its inception in a single senior center in Bushwick, it has grown to offer nutritional meals, ongoing education, health promotion services, arts, recreation, opportunities for socialization, case management, and benefits advocacy\. Our events bring seniors from every background together to talk, learn, dance and find moments of joy and connection with people of all ages\. Our comprehensive approach is a model that empowers seniors to find a renewed sense of purpose in their community and a passion for life\.

- [Theater Group: My Voice Theatre](http://wpupdate-riseboro.pantheonsite.io/program/theater-group-my-voice-theatre/): MY VOICE THEATRE is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature \(NYSCA\), the New York State Office of Children and Family Services \(OCFS\), by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council \(DCLA\), with financial contributions from Nike Global Giving, the National Philanthropic Trust, and private donations\.

Today, RiseBoro manages 147 buildings and 3,123 affordable housing units, with more than 6,000 New Yorkers living in RiseBoro buildings\.

Our mission is to provide programs that offer a holistic approach to help families thrive\.

Many of our youth and educational services are housed at the RiseBoro Youth Center, the first such center in our community\.
- [Property Management](http://wpupdate-riseboro.pantheonsite.io/program/property-management/): RiseBoro Community Partnership manages the day\-to\-day operations of over 1,800 units of affordable housing and over 100,000 square feet of community and retail space\. All properties managed by RiseBoro include a live\-in superintendent and on\-site management social service support\.
