# Resume Matcher

> Resume Matcher is a free, open-source (Apache-2.0) AI resume tailoring tool you download and run on your own machine. Upload your master resume, paste a job description, and get a tailored resume that works in the job's keywords and highlights your relevant experience: no fabrication, just smarter presentation. Works with cloud LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter) or fully locally with Ollama. Used by over 200,000 job seekers.

Resume Matcher is not a hosted web service or an ATS simulator. It is a self-hosted application (Python backend, Next.js frontend) that you install locally or run with Docker. All data is stored locally, in SQLite by default (PostgreSQL is optional).
