# Prized > Prized gives you a dedicated Linux box in the cloud that syncs with your > machine (macOS, Linux, or Windows): files in a local folder, box ports on > localhost, terminal sessions that survive a closed lid, and coding agents > that keep working after you leave. > Sandboxes (beta) are Firecracker microVMs your code creates and drives > through the HTTP API or the `prized` CLI. Coding agents: the [Prized Sandboxes skill](https://prized.dev/SKILL.md) teaches the CLI, the API, and the mistakes to avoid; `npx skills add https://prized.dev` installs it. ## For agents - [Sign your person up](https://prized.dev/auth.md): no account yet? Make it for them and get an API key: one call with their email address, one with the 6-digit code Prized emails them. No sign-up page, no browser. Already on Prized: they make a key at https://prized.dev/dashboard/workspace/api-keys. - [Claude Code on a box](https://prized.dev/claude-code.md): for Claude Code on your person's computer: install the CLI, sign in, and put their project and Claude Code on a box that keeps running with the laptop closed, asking before each step. People read https://prized.dev/claude-code. - [Codex on a box](https://prized.dev/codex.md): for Codex on your person's computer: install the CLI, sign in, and put their project and Codex on a box that keeps running with the laptop closed, asking before each step. People read https://prized.dev/codex. - [Agent quickstart](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-agent-quickstart.md): create a sandbox, copy a project in, run its tests, fork, pause, and delete, with calls to paste. - [Sandbox API](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-api.md): every sandbox route, field, and error. - [API reference](https://prized.dev/docs/api.md): boxes, the workspace, and what a key can do. - [Pricing](https://prized.dev/pricing.md): every box size and sandbox rate, from the live catalog. Quote prices from there, never from memory. Plans on tools.prized.dev and app.prized.dev (Free, Teams, Enterprise) belong to Prized's separate internal-tools builder, not to boxes or sandboxes. Prices: Sandboxes bill per second: $0.04 per vCPU-hour, $0.0125 per GB-hour of memory, $0.0001 per GB-hour of disk (2 vCPU, 4 GB, 10 GB disk: $0.131 an hour). Boxes bill by the hour awake, from $0.014 an hour (Nano) to $1.370 an hour (Extra Large), and only for their disk asleep. New accounts get $30 of credit. No card. On it, sandboxes run up to 10 at a time, each up to 2 vCPU and 4 GB for 60 minutes. Every page below links its Markdown: a docs URL plus `.md`, and the same URL without the suffix returns Markdown when the request sends `Accept: text/markdown`. Fetch the pages a task needs: each is small enough for any fetch tool, while the one-file set under Optional is several hundred KB and gets cut short by tools that stop near 100 KB. ## Get started - [Overview](https://prized.dev/docs.md): A dedicated Linux box in the cloud that you work on from your own machine. - [Boxes or Sandboxes?](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-or-boxes.md): Which to start with: a box is a cloud machine you work on every day; a sandbox is a microVM your code creates and throws away. - [Quickstart](https://prized.dev/docs/quickstart.md): Four steps to a box with your project on it and your coding agent signed in: sign up, install, log in, set up. - [Agent setup](https://prized.dev/docs/agent-setup.md): Paste one prompt into Claude Code or Codex on your machine; the agent installs the CLI, runs prized setup, and asks before putting your project or your credentials on the box. - [Agent sign-in](https://prized.dev/docs/agent-sign-in.md): Your coding agent makes your new Prized account with no sign-up page and no browser, from your email address and the 6-digit code Prized emails you, then gets an API key to start a cloud box. - [Agent quickstart](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-agent-quickstart.md): For a coding agent asked to run something on Prized: get an API key without a sign-up page, then create a sandbox, copy a project in, run its tests, fork, pause, and delete it, with calls to paste. - [Bring your environment](https://prized.dev/docs/environment.md): prized setup scans your machine, asks a few yes or no questions, and reproduces the parts you pick on the box: shell, toolchains, CLIs, Docker images, databases, and env vars. ## Guides - [Keep Claude Code running with your laptop closed](https://prized.dev/docs/keep-claude-code-running.md): Why closing the lid stops Claude Code, the ways to keep it working, and how to run it on a box that stays on while your laptop sleeps, with what it costs. - [Run Claude Code and Codex on a remote dev box](https://prized.dev/docs/remote-dev-box.md): Run Claude Code or Codex on a cloud Linux box and keep working locally: your project synced both ways, dev servers on localhost, or the box in Cursor or VS Code. - [Use Cursor or VS Code on a cloud dev box with Remote-SSH](https://prized.dev/docs/cursor-remote-ssh.md): Open a cloud Linux box in Cursor or VS Code over Remote-SSH, with no keys or hosts to set up, and keep Claude Code or Codex running after the editor closes. - [Use your devcontainer.json](https://prized.dev/docs/devcontainers.md): Run a repo's devcontainer.json on a Prized box with the Dev Containers CLI or VS Code's Reopen in Container: image, features, Docker Compose, Docker in Docker, and create commands, with nothing Prized-specific in the file. - [Run multiple Claude Code and Codex agents in parallel](https://prized.dev/docs/parallel-agents.md): Run several coding agents at once without slowing your laptop: a git worktree and a session per agent, on one bigger box or a box each, with what each costs. - [Run Superset's agents on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/superset.md): Add a Prized box as a Superset host, so Superset's parallel agents run on a cloud Linux machine that keeps working while your laptop sleeps, with a size for each number of agents. - [Run Orca's agents on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/orca.md): Connect Orca to a Prized box over SSH, so its worktrees and coding agents run on a cloud Linux machine and keep going when you close the app. - [Use opencode Desktop with a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/opencode-desktop.md): Add a Prized box as an SSH server in opencode Desktop, so its sessions run on a cloud Linux machine that keeps working while your laptop sleeps. - [Run T3 Code's agents on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/t3-code.md): Add a Prized box as an SSH environment in T3 Code, so its Claude Code and Codex threads run on a cloud Linux machine instead of your laptop. - [Run Happy Agent on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/happy.md): Put Happy Agent on a Prized box as a remote server, so the Claude Code and Codex sessions you drive from Happy Desktop or your phone keep running while your laptop sleeps. - [Run Paseo's agents on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/paseo.md): Run the Paseo daemon on a Prized box and add it as a Remote SSH host, so Paseo's parallel agents work in worktrees on a cloud Linux machine. - [Run Ouroboros on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/ouroboros.md): Install Ouroboros on a Prized box, so its interview, Seed and build loop drives Claude Code on a cloud Linux machine and keeps going with your laptop closed. - [Run Hermes Agent on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/hermes-agent.md): Keep Hermes Agent and its messaging gateway running around the clock on a Prized box, so it answers on Telegram, Discord, Slack or WhatsApp with your laptop closed. - [Run OpenClaw on a Prized box](https://prized.dev/docs/openclaw.md): Keep the OpenClaw Gateway running around the clock on a Prized box, so your assistant answers on WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord or Slack with your laptop closed, and open its Control UI on your localhost. - [Run code from an AI agent in an isolated VM](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-run-agent-code.md): Run an AI agent's commands in a microVM of its own: create a sandbox, run each command with a timeout, move files in and out, and delete it, with what it costs. - [Run an orchestrator agent with a sandbox per task](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-orchestrator.md): Keep the orchestrator agent on a box and give each builder or task its own sandbox, deleted when the task ends: a Python fan-out script, cleanup, costs, and limits. - [Fork a running VM to run work in parallel](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-fork-parallel.md): Set up one sandbox, fork it into live copies with the setup done, run a different job in each, collect the results, and delete them all, with what it costs. - [Use a sandbox as your own template](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-own-template.md): Set up one sandbox with your packages, repo and system libraries, pause it, and start every job as a fork of it, set up and running in a second or two. - [Moving from Ona (Gitpod)](https://prized.dev/docs/moving-from-ona.md): Use a Prized box as an Ona or Gitpod alternative before Ona Cloud closes on October 31, 2026: save your work, turn .gitpod.yml, devcontainer.json, and .ona/config.yaml into a setup script, and run it on a box. - [Moving from Runloop](https://prized.dev/docs/moving-from-runloop.md): Use Prized sandboxes as a Runloop alternative: the Prized command for each Runloop devbox call, a short ported script, and what is not on Prized yet. - [Moving from E2B](https://prized.dev/docs/moving-from-e2b.md): Use Prized sandboxes as an E2B alternative: the Prized command for each E2B SDK call, a short ported script, and what is not on Prized yet. ## Connect - [Sync](https://prized.dev/docs/sync.md): Mirror a project folder between the box and your machine, both directions and .git included, with edits landing on the other side in under a second. - [Mount](https://prized.dev/docs/mount.md): Browse the whole box in Finder as a live network drive; nothing is copied and it uses no disk space on your Mac. - [Ports](https://prized.dev/docs/ports.md): A server on the box opens on your machine as localhost within about two seconds, with no flags or config, and any port can be shared at a link with your workspace's members. - [Sessions](https://prized.dev/docs/sessions.md): Your shell runs in a persistent session on the box, so a network drop or a closed lid ends only the connection; reconnect and you are where you left off, running processes included. - [herdr](https://prized.dev/docs/herdr.md): Land in herdr instead of tmux, a terminal multiplexer that shows which of your coding agents is working, waiting on you, or done. - [Run commands and files](https://prized.dev/docs/exec.md): Run a command on your box and get its exit code, leave one running and follow it live, read any command's output later even with the box paused (not open to every workspace yet), or copy files either way, from the CLI or any script holding an API key, with nothing to install on the box. - [Desktop](https://prized.dev/docs/desktop.md): A full Linux desktop, or a single Chrome window, from any box in your browser, streamed over VNC inside the private tunnel with nothing opened to the internet. ## Agents - [Agents](https://prized.dev/docs/agents.md): Start a coding agent on your box, close the laptop, and let it work; it is an ordinary process on a machine you already pay for, so nothing it does is metered. - [Prompt an agent remotely](https://prized.dev/docs/remote-agents.md): Prompt Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or pi on your box from your machine or any script, on the model and backend you pick, follow the run as it happens, and interrupt it; the run lives on the box, so nothing depends on your laptop staying open. - [Codex remote](https://prized.dev/docs/codex.md): Run Codex on your box from the ChatGPT desktop app, with every edit syncing back to your Mac. - [Claude Desktop remote](https://prized.dev/docs/claude-desktop.md): Run Claude Code on your box from the Claude desktop app, with nothing to set up on the box. ## Boxes - [Boxes](https://prized.dev/docs/boxes.md): Create, pause, resize, move, and delete boxes: dedicated Linux machines from Nano to Extra Large. - [Machines](https://prized.dev/docs/machines.md): What a box is made of: its size and disk, Ubuntu 24.04 on a dedicated x86_64 virtual machine, preinstalled software, and the Prized processes beside your work. - [GPU boxes](https://prized.dev/docs/gpu-boxes.md): Boxes with one NVIDIA GPU, an L4 or an L40S, billed by the hour from your prepaid balance. In beta. - [Snapshots](https://prized.dev/docs/snapshots.md): Take point-in-time images of a box's disk by hand or on a schedule, restore them into new boxes, and fork a running box. - [Environments](https://prized.dev/docs/environments.md): What a new box inherits, kept as versions: repos to clone, a setup script, env vars, secret files, and which of your credentials it may receive (CLI and API only). - [Credentials](https://prized.dev/docs/credentials.md): How your agents' and tools' sign-ins reach a box: handed over from your machine through the SSH tunnel, never seen, stored, or proxied by the control plane. - [Connectors](https://prized.dev/docs/connectors.md): Mount brokered credentials for ClickHouse, OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub, or Slack into a dev box without writing the real value to its disk. - [AWS access](https://prized.dev/docs/aws.md): Connect an IAM role once, and every box in your workspace gets an AWS profile that assumes it with a short-lived identity token instead of access keys. In early access. ## Sandboxes - [Sandboxes](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes.md): Sandboxes (beta): Linux microVMs your code creates through the API or the CLI. Each boots from a template in seconds, runs commands and moves files, pauses for the price of its storage, and forks into many live copies. - [Sandbox API](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-api.md): Every sandbox route: create, list, pause, resume, fork, resize, and delete on the control plane; run commands and move files on the edge; with the fields, states, and error codes. - [Use Sandboxes from Python or TypeScript](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-python-typescript.md): A small helper for each language that creates a sandbox, runs commands, moves files, forks it, and deletes it. No SDK to install. - [Use Prized from your coding agent](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-coding-agents.md): Teach Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another coding agent to run code in Prized sandboxes: install the Prized skill, or paste a short section into AGENTS.md. - [Run Vercel AI SDK tool calls in a sandbox](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-vercel-ai-sdk.md): Give a Vercel AI SDK agent a runCommand tool: each session gets its own sandbox, the model's commands run there through the Sandbox API, and the sandbox is deleted at the end. - [Sandboxes FAQ](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-faq.md): Short answers about Sandboxes (beta): speed, forking, isolation, pricing, limits, what is not there yet, and where to get help. - [Prized vs E2B, Daytona and Modal](https://prized.dev/docs/sandboxes-vs-e2b-daytona-modal.md): How Prized sandboxes compare with E2B, Daytona and Modal on isolation, run length, pause and fork, price, free credit and GPUs, each fact from the vendor's own pages, checked October 22, 2026. ## Account - [Dashboard](https://prized.dev/docs/dashboard.md): A map of the signed-in app at prized.dev/dashboard: every screen, its controls, and where each setting lives. - [Workspaces](https://prized.dev/docs/workspaces.md): One account for the whole team; boxes, balance, and secrets shared by everyone in it. - [Teams](https://prized.dev/docs/teams.md): Bring your team in by email or with one link, and what a shared workspace adds to one account: roles, policies that bind members, quiet hours, an audit log with a scheduled export, scoped secrets, and a live activity page. - [Billing](https://prized.dev/docs/billing.md): How a monthly plan ($10 to $1,000, or sized to your boxes past that) becomes credit, what boxes cost by the hour, and what happens when the credit runs out. - [Limits](https://prized.dev/docs/limits.md): Every hard cap a box or a workspace can hit, and what the refusal looks like. - [Data retention](https://prized.dev/docs/data-retention.md): What pausing, deleting, and closing keep and remove, how zero data retention changes that, and what Prized retains afterwards. ## Reference - [CLI reference](https://prized.dev/docs/cli.md): Every prized command, flag, JSON shape, and exit code, on macOS, Linux, and Windows. - [Sign up from your terminal](https://prized.dev/docs/terminal-signup.md): One command signs you up, starts a box on the free credit, and sets up this machine: npx prized. - [API reference](https://prized.dev/docs/api.md): Every HTTP route an API key can call: the control plane for boxes and workspace settings, the edge for commands, files, agent prompts, and stopping the desktop. - [Troubleshooting](https://prized.dev/docs/troubleshooting.md): Symptoms and their fixes, starting with the one command that checks and repairs config, auth, tunnel, SSH, sync, the daemon, and the box agent. - [Changelog](https://prized.dev/docs/changelog.md): What changed in each release of the prized CLI and box agent, and in the dashboard and the API, newest first. ## Trust - [Security and trust](https://prized.dev/docs/security.md): How a box is reached, what the control plane can and cannot see, where credentials and secrets go, and how to report a problem. - [Privacy](https://prized.dev/docs/privacy.md): What Prized records about how you use the product, and what it never records. ## Optional - [Everything in one file](https://prized.dev/llms-full.txt): every page above, in reading order; several hundred KB. - [Search](https://prized.dev/api/search?query=sync): GET with `query=`; JSON hits, each with the page URL and the matching heading or paragraph.
