# Pory > Pory is an AI portal builder for small teams that work with people outside them: programs, member organizations and service businesses. Describe who signs in and what each person needs, and Pory builds a branded portal on its own database, with logins, forms, approvals, status tracking and a view for each person that shows only what's theirs. Paid plans are a flat price per portal with unlimited users. Pory is built by Samantha Wong and Luannie Dang in Melbourne, Australia, and has made portal software since 2020. The new Pory, described here, has a waitlist while signups open. The original product, Pory for Airtable, is live at airtable.pory.io. ## Who it's for Small teams (roughly 1 to 20 people) running something for people outside the team: - Programs with an application and a cohort: accelerators and incubators, fellowships, bootcamps, coaching cohorts, grant and scholarship rounds, calls for papers. This is where Pory leads. - Member organizations: professional associations, alumni networks, nonprofits, chambers of commerce. - Service businesses running client portals: agencies, law firms, accountants, consultants, property managers. - Teams running request portals for their own staff: leave, expenses, IT help desk, onboarding. ## How it works 1. Describe the portal in plain English: who signs in and what each person needs. 2. Pory's AI designs the tables, roles, permissions, pages and theme, and builds a working portal with a few example records. 3. Edit anything by hand in the visual editor, then publish. Invite people; they sign in with a link sent to their email. ## What a portal can do - Roles and row access: each person sees their own records, the ones assigned to them, or the ones they manage; fields can be hidden per role. - Forms, signed-in or public, with typed fields and file uploads. - Approve or reject with a reason; a status tracker on each person's own page. - Boards by status, searchable tables with inline edit, calendars, people directories, galleries, checklists, charts, counts and averages. - Reviewer scores and notes kept on the record they belong to. - Document requests, sign-off with name and time, record history and file versions. - Reminders by date and notifications, in the portal and by email. - Automations that set fields or add records on a trigger or a schedule. - CSV import (up to 5,000 rows at a time) and CSV export. - Your own domain, colors and logo on Pro. ## What Pory doesn't do Pory doesn't collect payments (it tracks who owes what), book time slots, host discussion feeds or forums, plan routes, or host video courses. It has no Airtable import and no SSO yet. ## How Pory is different - Unlike interface builders on a database you bring (Softr, Noloco), Pory has its own database: nothing to sync, no second tool to pay for. - Unlike application-only tools (Submittable) and grant suites priced in the thousands of dollars a year, Pory runs the whole program, from application to cohort to alumni, for a flat monthly price. - Unlike community platforms (Circle), Pory is built for records and per-person access, not discussion. - Unlike AI code generators (Lovable, Bolt), Pory produces a running, hosted portal, not source code to maintain. - Unlike per-seat portal software, Pory never charges per user, client, applicant or member. ## Pricing - Free: $0, 1 portal, up to 5 users, Powered by Pory badge. - Pro: $59/month, or $49/month billed annually; 1 portal, unlimited users, your domain and branding, AI builds and edits included (fair use, no credits). 7-day free trial, no card. - Enterprise: $119/month; unlimited portals, priority support.
