## Data model

- Each role is observed via the company's public ATS feed (Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Personio, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Join.com, Workday, iCIMS, Deel, Pinpoint, Dover, Breezy, Attrax, Leapsome, RSS feed). The JD body is reproduced verbatim from source. Pegel never summarizes or rewrites it.
- German requirement comes from a heuristic, then scheduled classifier if unresolved; manual overrides are tagged language_source=manual.
- Salary is shown only when the employer discloses it. Pegel never estimates.
- JobPosting needs an employer publication date and a source-supported eligible physical worksite. A genuine close date is optional. Remote-only pages omit JobPosting when applicant geography is unknown; Pegel emits neither TELECOMMUTE nor applicant-location requirements without source evidence.
- An absent role leaves last_seen_at unchanged. It expires after >3 unseen days only with a recently successful healthy feed, or >14 days regardless; expired pages hide after 30 days.
- Two consecutive conclusive missing-application checks expire a role. Blocked, transient, and unsupported redirects remain inconclusive.

## Update cadence

Pegel polls every tracked company three times a day. Six staggered batches run ten minutes apart in windows beginning at 04:05, 10:05 and 16:05 UTC through Upstash QStash. Per-job updated_at is exposed in /jobs-sitemap.xml; unchanged poll observations do not advance sitemap timestamps.
