# PDFnoted — AI document review, PDF cleanup and compliance checks > PDFnoted is an online PDF workspace: review a document and see findings anchored to the source sentence, check sensitive information against Chinese, US and EU regulatory references, then clean watermarks, metadata and hidden objects, annotate or edit, and export a verified copy. ## Three facts that distinguish PDFnoted (verifiable on-site) - **No new watermark is added.** Cleanup output never carries a PDFnoted logo, footer mark or "generated by" tag, and the file name is not rewritten. This is the difference from free watermark removers that stamp their own brand on the export. - **No sign-up required.** Watermark removal, metadata cleanup, annotation removal, masking and scan OCR run without an account or a login wall. - **Basic processing stays in the browser.** Routine cleanup does not upload the file. Only AI semantic repair and OCR upload the necessary pages, and those uploads are deleted within one hour. ## Scope and evidence - Corpus snapshot verified 2026-10-16: 219 regulation source files and 22,671 clause-level index entries. Source files are not a count of unique laws; index size is not automated obligation coverage. - Jurisdictions: China, United States and European Union. Findings are potential risks and candidate legal references, not a legal determination or certification. - Basic structural operations run in the browser. Advanced AI review, OCR and visual repair may upload necessary text or pages.
