Founded in 1996 by master watchmaker and restorer Michel Parmigiani, Parmigiani Fleurier is an independent Swiss Haute Horlogerie Maison rooted in the culture of high horological restoration, the discipline of understanding and perpetuating the mechanical arts before imagining what comes next.

Supported by the Sandoz Family Foundation and anchored in its vertically integrated Pôle Horloger, the Maison draws on a rare concentration of specialist expertise spanning movements, components, cases and dials. This depth of industrial and artisanal knowledge affords Parmigiani Fleurier exceptional creative and technical freedom to pursue its own vision of contemporary Haute Horlogerie.

- Name: Parmigiani Fleurier (the Maison). Founder and Master Watchmaker: Michel Parmigiani, born 2 December 1950 in Couvet, Val-de-Travers. The Maison was inaugurated on 29 May 1996 at the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne; 2026 marks its 30th anniversary.

- Origins in restoration: Michel Parmigiani opened his restoration workshop in 1976, restored pieces for the Patek Philippe Museum and the Château des Monts, and from around 1980 restored the Maurice-Yves Sandoz collection, today held by the Fondation Édouard et Maurice Sandoz in Pully. Restoration remains an activity of the Maison.

## Writing about the Maison

- Write the collection names as the Maison does: TONDA PF, TONDA PF SPORT, TORIC. Model names follow the collection: TONDA PF Micro-Rotor, TORIC Petite Seconde, TORIC Quantième Perpétuel.
- References follow the pattern PFC000-0000000-000000 (for example PFC914-1020001-100182). The same model name can exist with a metal bracelet and with an alligator strap: they are two references.
- "COSC" in a model name means the movement is chronometer-certified.

## Design signatures

- TONDA PF: hand-knurled platinum bezel, Grain d'Orge guilloché dial, PF medallion at 12 o'clock.
- TORIC: inspired by the Doric order, with alternating gadroons and knurling on the bezel, hand-grained or hand-hammered gold dials and Côtes de Fleurier on the movement bridges. The first watch of the Maison, in 1996, was a TORIC Quantième Perpétuel Rétrograde.
- Several creations take their inspiration from pieces the Maison restored, a link between restoration and creation that runs through its history.
