# Obsidian Ridge Labs > Apps that mind their own business. Obsidian Ridge Labs is an independent software studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, building private AI apps for Apple devices. 2 apps are on the App Store. 8 apps are in development. Each product page states its requirements and release status. - [Full content directory](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/llms-full.txt): Product descriptions, release status, questions and answers, articles, and help guides. - [The collection](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/download): Current availability, compatibility, pricing, and connection disclosures for all ten apps. - [The Obsidian Ridge Labs standard](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/philosophy): The four refusals, the Boundary Check, and why the intelligence runs on-device. - [Privacy model](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/privacy): Product-specific processing, storage defaults, and network connections. - [Help center](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/help): Setup, privacy, troubleshooting, and feature guides. ## Products - [Echo Chamber](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/echochamber): Available on the App Store. Turn recordings into transcripts you can search, question, and use in your work. Speech recognition and AI run on your Apple device. - [Vault](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/vault): In development. See how a purchase affects your budget, bills, and goals. Bring in receipts and statements without having to connect a bank. - [Molehill](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/molehill): In development. Turn a task into an editable plan. When one step still feels too big, split that part again without starting over. - [Cove](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/cove): In development. Ask about something on your mind and return to relevant journal entries. Cove’s on-device answers link back to the words you wrote. - [Wove](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/wove): In development. Tell Wove what you are dressing for and find combinations from clothes you already own, with your notes and preferences in mind. - [Mettle](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/mettle): In development. Use your logged sets to plan the next workout, see why the reps and weight changed, and ask the coach to adjust the session. - [Memora](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/memora): Available on the App Store. Make flashcards from your notes, photos, or PDFs with selectable text. Choose what to keep, then study with a schedule guided by your recall. - [Trove](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/trove): In development. Keep photos, receipts, serial numbers, and warranty dates with each item, ready to find for a repair, move, or claim. - [Kith](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/kith): In development. Keep the details that make a check-in personal, and bring them back when it is time to call or write. - [Mise](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/apps/mise): In development. Bring saved recipes into one place, put dinners on the plan, and turn the ingredients into a shopping list. ## The Boundary Check Before you trust any AI app with a recording, a receipt, or a page from your life, ask it these three questions. Start with ours. 1. **Where does the processing happen?** On supported Apple hardware. Echo Chamber runs recording, transcription, and transcript intelligence on the device, using local models and Apple on-device frameworks. Recordings and transcripts are not sent to an external AI service. The same local core is the standard for the rest of the collection, which is in development. 2. **Where does the storage live?** Echo Chamber stores recordings and transcripts on your device, with optional iCloud sync. Other apps have different defaults: Mettle and Cove use a private iCloud database when available, with a local fallback. The product pages distinguish local processing from synced storage and explain what happens to shared or exported copies. 3. **What connects to the network, and when?** Model setup, App Store purchases, and cloud sync can need a connection. The apps in development also name their specific paths: recipe pages and images in Mise, WeatherKit in Wove, and optional bank connections, enrichment, and diagnostics in Vault. Processing, storage, and connected services are documented separately on each product page. This website uses Google Analytics. It does not receive the content in our apps. See the [privacy model](https://obsidianridgelabs.com/privacy) for website measurement and product-specific connections. ## The airplane-mode test Turn on airplane mode. Whatever still works is yours. Try Echo Chamber on a supported iPhone or iPad. Install the app and finish any required model downloads while online. Turn on airplane mode and confirm Wi-Fi is off. Record a sentence, transcribe it, and search for a word you said. Finish model setup first and check your available recording allowance. Downloads, purchase checks, and iCloud sync need a connection; transcription runs locally. ## Frequently asked - **Which apps can I use today?** Echo Chamber and Memora are on the App Store. Mettle, Vault, Molehill, Cove, Wove, Trove, Kith, and Mise are in development. Open an app’s page for previews, device requirements, and its current release status. - **Do I need Apple Intelligence?** Requirements differ by app. Echo Chamber supports local transcription without Apple Intelligence; its transcript tools depend on the device and available local models. The apps in development target Apple Intelligence hardware. Most also require Apple Intelligence to be enabled and ready. Memora allows supported hardware to continue with study, manual cards, and limited fallback generation while the model is unavailable. - **What works without an internet connection?** Core transcription, coaching, and study run on the device after required setup. A connection can still be needed for model downloads, purchases, sync, bank updates, weather, or recipe imports. The product pages distinguish those connections from local processing. Check the requirements before relying on a particular app or feature offline. - **Where do my recordings and other records go?** Core AI processes your content on your device. Storage varies: some apps keep their records local, some offer optional iCloud, and Mettle and Cove use your private iCloud database when available. Vault’s optional bank connection follows a separate Plaid and relay path. Each product page explains its processing, storage, and connections. - **Is Echo Chamber free to download?** Yes. Echo Chamber is free to download, with optional Pro purchases. The App Store and the offer shown inside Echo Chamber describe the current options, included features, and your local price before purchase. Prices shown for apps in development are planned, not live offers. ## Contact - Support: support@obsidianridgelabs.com - Website source: https://github.com/amotor-AM/obsidian-ridge-labs
